I just finished my "one-hour" member update that lasted 2 hours. I was told that the original 2016 agreement with Salespersons Kat McDonald and Daniel Santiago of Sedona was null and void. I had a freeze on my point price and was told I could keep it indefinitely until I was ready to purchase as long as I did not do a marketing presentation. Every comment I have red here is exactly what has happened to us. I have never felt so scammed and cheated in my life. We have been lied too, felt bullied and trapped. The last time we met with one of there people they would not let us see the breakdown of financial statement we have with them. But he did tell us we should go to the corporate office to discuss us being ripped off and threaten to take this to the Nevada state realtor commission. I have had some good experiences using my points. However, the company does a bait and switch regularly, and in general it isn't a good deal. Let me give you two examples of what I think is bait and switch, and also why it isn't a good deal. 1. The last time we bought some points, we were told we would be in "platinum" level for 3 years because of the purchase. They gave us platinum for 3 months, then reverted us back to gold - and they can't provide any explanation why. 2. When we purchased, they said that anything book... read more

We went to Diamond Resorts presentation today. When we had signed up yesterday, we were told they would charge our credit card $40.00 if we didn't show up. But they put through the charge before the presentation. The first 3 salespeople who talked to us were pleasant & they explained the program. The final guy was pushy & rude he made us feel that we were crazy for not jumping into the program. Everything sounded too good to be true and we are glad that we didn't get involved with this company

We recently were on a Dream Vacation with Diamond Resorts. The trip was amazing but once again, even after being assured we didn't need to this time, we were forced into an "update" meeting. We went in and were told our account blew up their computer in "Red Flags" and then were taken into a separate office to meet with Arian. He told us that we were blowing up their computers and we needed to go over our account in detail and it was VERY complicated. My husband and I sat through their "new" meeting with the guarantee it was only 1 hour and to our benefit. We were convinced to sit through it because we were told it is different now and it was just to review our use of our points and what things we could be doing to better utilize our points. It turned out to be the worst experience we have ever had in any of the many meetings we sat through. I was introduced to Diamond during a stay at The Modern Honolulu in Hawaii. The "concierge" at the hotel set me up with a tour with diamond to get a discount on a rental car. At the end of the tour I signed up for their Barclay MasterCard (very high interest) with the incentive that if I did the card I would get a voucher for a 5 day 4 night trip. Diamond Resorts International sold us 4000 points in 2016, by marketing it as an investment. The con was that if we bought enough points to become silver loyalty members, then after three more years we would have the OPTION to SELL back all the points we own to Diamond for a very tidy sum. The only reason we attended the sales presentation was to get some free nights somewhere. Biggest mistake of my life. I have had the worst experience with this company. They sold a sampler that I never had the chance to use. I was told I can start using it right away. When I call them 3 months later to schedule vacation I was told I had to wait till it was 50% payed. I had surgery and was out of work for a while. We only had several more months to use it. I called many times to try and book something and got no where with them. I kept getting a different story every time I called. Now they foreclose on it and it's on my credit report.
