Deceptive thieves! We brought a smaller package in 2015 and finally used it for a staycation at the Scottsdale villa mirage in 2018. During the 6 + hour presentation the sales rep heard our concerns of not wanting to buy including not having time to use it, not wanting to ensure increasing maintenance fees, not having the money right now. While staying at the Royal Lahaina Resort, we were interested in doing the Mount Haleakala bike tour. This resort has a travel concierge and another person (who is working for Diamond Resorts) with them. We were told that the bike tour typically costs close to $400 for 2 people; we had a $50 voucher that would bring the price down to $350. We were told that if we went to a 2-hour time share presentation, the bike tour would only cost us $70. My husband and I believed the garbage we were sold - after 4 hours of pressure to relinquish our DEEDED PROPERTY and pay an additional $14000.00 for membership in something club that had points that would pay for our entire trips and we could stay in any Diamond Resort world-wide. $30,000.00 to belong to a point-operated club, that my unused points would accrue year after year (they don't unless you tell Diamond to do so by a certain deadline), and we wouldn't have the $700 per year maintenance fee we had with out resort own... read more

If it's too good to be true, IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. My wife and I were sold a vacation and cruise, and were told that the $200 charge we were incurring was to offset marketing fees or something. Anyway, the ONE location we wanted to visit (the representative we dealt with confirmed it was available), was actually NOT available. As a Diamond owner don't trust anything the people at this resort tell you. They will lie to your face, get everything in writing, and be suspicious of everything they say. One Diamond representative to be careful around is Kate Meagher, on our check in she gave me one story when I discovered the story has changed I spoke with Kate and she lied right to my face, telling a different story. We attended the presentation in Pigeon Forge TN. Tina did the presentation in the large room and told us about her fiancée, showed us her engagement ring and explained that he has 10 kids and she has 3. She also informed us that he pays child support on all but one of them. We are then escorted to a cubicle and they continually tell us there is no pressure and all we have to do is say NO. I received a call today from Travel Resource Vacations, who claimed that I had 1200 points from staying with Diamond Resorts. I did stay with Diamond Resorts in Las Vegas years ago, but this is the first time I'm hearing of points. The girl on the phone was using a head set that she had to remove so I could actually hear her. They when I asked her questions, she would just repeat what I said, never actually answering a question. I eventually told her I had to go. We were talked into a sampler package that gave all these "benefits" for two year. We literally got to use our sampler ONCE to go to the nastiest hotel in St. Louis. The salespeople don't actually tell you what's included or not included. We were promised 20,000 free points and all these extras that did not happen. I'm so thankful we only signed in for two years because this was a waste of $5,000 dollars as I have paid out of pocket for every trip since signing on with them.
