My husband and I unfortunately obtained an insurance plan through Allstate Complete Protection when we purchased our 2015 Hyundai. I called to put a claim in for a windshield chip that was approximately 1/16 of an inch in size. I was transferred to Safelite Auto Glass which handles their windshield claims. I highly recommend taking photos of your car before any work begins. I recently had my windshield replaced and during the process they significantly scratched the paint off the frame around the windshield. I will preface this complaint with the knowledge that there is currently a recall on my particular paint due to flaking and ultimately that is likely the cause of the paint to flake off, however it’s the highly unprofessional responses and handling of the situation that infuriates me. Well they called and they said there were on the we to repair my windshield and I told them it needed replaced and I told them that when I made my appointment a week prior, so then they had to change the appointment for later in the day. I was not home when they did the replacement of the windshield, so I got home and check their work and found out that they broke some clips on the molding and didn’t replace them and one side wasn’t even put on at all. First, they do not offer a review area on their website YET only show good reviews with a 4.9 out of 5 star rating. Pretty shady after I read all the reviews on here and other review websites. I have pasted a copy of my review here to share the info and hope the BBB can step in and see that they are not being truthful with their review process and other forms of practice. I had a cracked windshield that needed to be replaced. My SOS button is attached to the glass with clips and sits above my rear-view mirror. That whole unit (two pieces) kept falling down. I reached out to them and they said they would fix it, the store manager acknowledged that they damaged it during install and that was pretty common to get broken and they would pay for the damages along with refund the cost of the window (since the window was also damaged upon install) When he got the estimate, he backtracked. Safe lite destroyed my 2019 f150 Had some rock damage on highway. Called in to get windshield replaced. Tech comes out and replaces windshield and also ripped out my collision camera and acted like nothing. Left it like that and let me figure it all out on my own. After back and fourth with safe lite two weeks later and over a 1000$ in damage and it’s still not resolved. I’m very angry and upset about this. I had an appointment today between noon and 5 p.m. I got a phone call from SafeLite at 4:26 stating they were not going to make it out and asked me to bring it to them in the morning. I wasted an entire afternoon of things I needed to do, not to mentioned missed work. The least they could do was come in the evening hours or come to me in the morning. This is completely unacceptable.

Do Not Use Safelite AutoGlass Companies. They will crack your windshield and then its on you. DO NOT USE SAFELITE.

I booked an appointment to have our windshield replaced through insurance. We canceled after finding out that it would be cheaper to pay out of pocket and attempted to book another appointment. AFTER paying $334 for the appointment, the window pops up that our appointment could not be scheduled at this time and that someone would be reaching out to us within 30 minutes.
