I had a HORRIBLE experience with this Safelite location. Made an appointment for mobile service to repair a broken window (thanks, car thieves). Took a day off work to make this appointment as we needed this repair ASAP. I live in a condo complex so I had to drive around the neighborhood for a while in the drizzle to accommodate Safelite’s spatial requirements. I had a small chip in my windshield, Safelite Danbury, CT sent a technician named Amos to my home on November 23, 2019. When he came, he was unable to fix the chip due to "air in the glass" and my husband didn't get in the car and look out from the drivers side and thought it was fine. When I went to drive the car it was still just as bad so I called the number on your emails and the woman told me they would send a tech back out to try to repair it again. Worst customer service ever! Rude, unhelpful and condescending Ill never buy from safelite! Also they overcharge for bad service
Picked up a rock chip on my drive to New Orleans, figured I'd deal with it when I returned to PA. The tech came out 1 week after the chipped windshield and said, "Sorry man, I cant fix it because its a 'Surface chip'". I said, "You cant even try?" he said "Nope, nothing we can do for them. If you look at the other cars in this parking lot, you'll see a bunch of surface chips" we said our goodbyes, then he left. 2 days later, it rained/snowed and dropped below freezing and the chip turned into a 9in crack. Charged me for work they didn’t complete even when I called and they assured me I wouldn’t be charged. Then treated me like garbage when I called asking for my money back. Said it was my fault for booking on line. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had! Never apologized through the entire ordeal.
Horrible experience! Will never go back. The website was confusing so I booked the wrong service, so after waiting 4 days, the guy shows up and can’t repair my glass. So I reschedule to take the vehicle into their shop. They do the work (good work) but they bill me for services not rendered. I had a small crack that eventually went all the way across my windshield. My insurance partners with safelite so I paid what I needed to have new windshield installed at my work as the closest location was 90 minutes away. The repair guy arrived and I had to move my vehicle, no problem. He starts taking pictures of my vehicle, I had already done that based on other reviews. The Safelite branch In Eastgate OH did a wonderful job. I broke the entire back window out of my truck. They were extremely accommodating. They were Professional, and did an excellent job. For a second, It reminded me of when businesses actually cared about their customers. Not that I hope to have to use them again, but if I do, I will most certainly use Safelite.
03/19: Have a crack, get a new windshield. My insurance company partners with Safelite so went there. We have lane departure warning, plus auto braking if we get too close so there is a front camera. We were directed to one particular location where they could recalibrate the camera. After installing the after-market windshield they recalibrated the camera. 06/19: Warning light on dash.
