JCP.com is a total Joke and your customer service dept is EVEN WORSE! On 12/20/17 a little after Midnight, I ordered some christmas items online. It said that my order ships free over $49 and to ensure that my order is received by christmas to order by noon and to click expedited shipping. I went to check out and all items said they would arrive before Christmas. I was more then happy to purchase the expedited shipping to yes ensure my items would arrive. A terrible customer service experience with J C Penney. We purchased a furniture-dining table set from J C Penney for Thanksgiving on October 15, 2017 from their Cherry Hill, New Jersey store and were promised delivery of the item on or before November 7, 2017. As of today 12/20/2017 the item is yet to be delivered. On October 17, 2017 the JCP delivery company brought the item to our home but could not deliver the item because they did not have a hand trolley to bring the item from their truck into the house. JC Penny's customer service department is the worst I've ever experienced. I ordered a mattress online on 12/9. Got an email that the item had shipped on 12/11. It's now 12/19 and no mattress. No tracking number. No delivery date given or any call to schedule delivery. I have tried over 5 times to get through to their customer service department. Even though their systems says the wait time is like 4 - 5 minutes, I've waited 30 - 45 minutes and then give up and try again later. Their Chat system is always "busy" and not work... read more

Let me start by saying I have been a JC Penney customer since the 80's and I worked at JC Penney's from 1985 to 1990. I have never had a reason to complain about anything I purchased or returned at any store or any employee I have come in contact with until now. I placed an online order on 12/2. The items were marked "waiting for pick-up" on 12/3. JC Penney charged my credit card on 12/4. Today is 12/19, and the package is still "waiting for pickup". To contact customer service, you have to call. Chat is never available, and there is no other way to contact them. I have called customer service 5 times. I bought a fridge from Jcpenny in November 11/23/17 frigigidaire brand they deliver on 12/15/17 when deliver they say need a plumber to fix the water line I said ok they left fridge on side my husband fix that in 10 min when next day I start putting stuff in fridge side door shelf break into pcs I just put 59oz juice carton Jcpenny Penney selling cheap appliance when I called this morning they said I have to pay restocking fee. I have been dealing with a refund in the amount of 424.50 since November 6, 2017. I cancelled the order the same evening due to the wrong mattress being ordered. The CSR Cancelled the order however did not put in a request for the refund. As of today, I have been promised, disconnected and lied to regarding my refund. Don't ever purchase any major appliances from JC Penny. I had to return my washer and dryer and they gave me the run around. I had to get my credit company involved just to get my money returned. Took 9 weeks to finally get my money back. Don't EVER purchase anything of monetary value. If I could I wouldn't even give them one star.

I purchased an order for Towels on 12/11/17 because of the sale. It would not let me ship to the store. I had to order $49 worth of items to get free shipping. I stayed up until 11:00 placing this order. The next day the towels were cancelled because they were not in stock. I get back online the next day, it will let me place an order for the SAME towels.
