JC Penny Salon manager ****** is incredibly rude and condescending to stylists who are trying to gain employment there. If you are a hairdresser looking for work in ***** I would look elsewhere. You would think that JCP would care but an F rating? That's pretty bad.

I sent this letter to the company: I have long chosen JcPenny over its competitors. I look at the cleanliness, cost, quality and last but most definitely not least, the customer service. However, over the years I have unfortunately witnessed a significant decrease in the quality of the above. My experience yesterday, August 7, 2017, has by far confirmed my worst fears, JCPenney is no longer the store for my family and myself. Awful customer service. Cheap furniture. I ordered 9 pieces of furniture at the same time and was lied to when I ordered it. Furniture came in 4 different shipments, not the 2 I was told. Some assembly was required on 3 pieces and I was told that none would be required. Recliner has a rip in the seam less than 2 months after receiving it. Sent back broken coffee table and replaced. It took over a month to receive refund and numerous phone calls and complaints. They would not do a 1 for 1 exchange. I had to pay for both and w... read more

Bought a couch from JCP. A week later it was broken. Tried many phone numbers for help...no success. Tell customer service.

My wife was treated like if she was a criminal. After she paid for a pair of t shirt and aproach the exit, there was a lady running after her and searched into mi wifes bag like if she was stealing. Then as she did not find any unpaid item, she instructed my wife to walk thru a door where a alarm would sound if theres was a hiding item. My wife will never buy anything from J C Penney. Do not order online. I had a shipment that didn't make it to the store until 3 weeks later (originally 4-7 day shipping). They said they refunded me, but didn't. I've spent hours on the phone with their poorly trained, and frankly rude, customer service representatives. In end, I had to fix the problem myself because their online staff could never grasp the entire issue. What a waste of time.

We purchased a CALKING Beautyrest mattress from JC Penney and once received, discovered that we needed a low profile box spring foundation instead of the standard box springs. From that point on, it has been an absolute nightmare. I went into the store and I paid the restocking fee and paid to purchase the low profile mattress and once delivered we were to be credited back the purchase price of the standard box springs.
