I placed a order through their .com site. When I noticed it was going to the wrong store I called customer service to ask them to change the store it was going to. Being it was 2hrs away. They told me that I would have to call when it came in and have it transferred to the right store. Large like a tent US Polo for years has been cutting back sleeve length & shoulder width with NO changes in size labeling. Yet I got hooked on them long ago, even Lauren & Hilfiger no longer an option, regardless if same prices. I purchased a lamp set from JCPenney.com more than 3 weeks ago and chose to ship to store. I never heard anything from the store after that, nor did I see my order. I called JCPenney.com to inquire the status and they asked me to call the store. But the store never answers my calls! I called the online store to request a refund and they refused! JCPenney is unable to provide the simplest of services: deliver and install a microwave. The microwave arrived damaged; the installer unboxed it and could not install it, due to the damage. UNBELIEVABLY, JCPenney is requiring ME to communicate with the manufactuer, Samsung. They are requiring me to speak with SAMSUNG to arrange pick-up, and then I am supposed to call-back JCPenney to let them know that Samsung has it. 7.5 HOURS ON PHONE TOTAL, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN!!! On 1/3/18 I placed an order for a microwave and trim kit. Microwave arrived 1/11. Told me trim was lost in warehouse. Ordered a Blender online from JC Penney website for $76.43 on 12/28/17. order was back ordered until 1/15/18 after 1 week since ordering it and I haven't heard anything until 1/21/18. so I went online and checked and order was cancelled. My experience was similar to others who have posted here and at other sites about their frustrations with undelivered merchandise and being on hold for lengthy periods of time waiting to speak with a customer service representative who was not able to resolve the problem. I finally went to the website for the Texas Attorney General and filed a consumer complaint. That office does not represent individual consumers but it enough complaints are filed it may investigate and take action.
Warning to all, NEVER do business with JCPENNEY!!!! In November I ordered a comforter and sheets. When they arrived they were not what I had thought they would be. I took them to the store in Traverse City Mi and retured them. When the cashier return them I noticed it was $3.55 less than what I had originally paid online. Been J C Penney customer for over 40 years I found 4 gift cards in my drawer used 2 of them and had 2 left. These cards do not expire as it says on the back of card. Tried to use the other 2 this year ($25) a piece. Now it is a constant phone tag between J C Penney and the gift card dept. THEY WILL NOT HELP OR HONOR THESE CARDS. Do not purchase gift cards from J C Penney because loyal customers do not get any help or satisfaction....
