Awful! Placed an order on their app the order NEVER processed but money was taken out of my account! I was making a purchase for Black Friday now I'm out of my money for now as well as the item I was attempting to purchase! Customer service was of no assistance!

I ordered a mattress from J C Penney. I changed my mind about the mattress and tried to cancel the order but J C Penney said once you order mattresses, you can't cancel the order. So the mattress was delivered. Immediately I noticed the mattress had a terrible odor. I tried to sleep on the mattress and woke up with a headache and brain confusion. We apologize for the customers experience but, after firhter searching we have not been able to locate any order in our system that shows this consumer was ever a JCP customer. We have checked our old an new order systems for her and there are no purchases coming up for this consumer. We don't even have a JCP account for this customer, if she has any other information that we can have to locate the order that would be great until then there is no order located to prove that this was a JCP customer.
terrible service at the hair salon in Brighton....turned my blond hair brown with orange roots...terrible manager service...problem never corrected!!!
I recently bought a purse from JC Penney and the card reader was not working. The associate who assisted me never blamed me for it not working and switched to a new machine so the purchase could be made successfully!
Bait and Switch...Their word is not good. Misrepresentation. Together with Sealy Mattress, neither are good for their word, so you have a back pain caused by these defective mattresses.....with deceptive and unlawful warrantee practices Magnuson-Moss Act. (Implied Warranty Act) Sealy and JCPenney pointed the finger to each other and there's no help or redress for the unsuspecting customer.
This company don't even deserve one star. The location in the Bronx, NY, Bayplaza is the worst. They always have a few registers open and the restroom are horrible. I made a complaint to the manager by the name of Clearance and he didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Management is not concern on making the store fast and efficient nor clean. Although I love JC Penney clothes, this is the only location near me and its a shame I don't even want to go there to be standing in line all day and use a dirty restroom. I hope... read more

I have always loved shopping at Penny's! And I will probably still do some shopping, for I have no problems. But if you order something like a mattress, good luck! Never again! Ordered first of May, and paid in full! Been back an forth numerous times with Penny's customer service, their delivery company and even corporate! Not a very good experience! If i could have put 0 stars, i would have. Tried to return a pair of levis that didnt fit, took them 2 hours (literally) to tell me they werent going to return or exchange them. I asked why several times and could only get "idk what to do with it" as a response. Then i tried to get the names of the managers that i spoke to, buti guess none of them wanted to own up to the situation.
