I submitted an online order for roughly $350 with JC Penney. My credit card was charged within a day. A few days later the website said that all of my items had shipped. When my order arrived, 4 items were missing, and there was a slip of paper in the box saying that my order would be split into 2 shipments and that the rest would arrive in 4-7 business days. In April of this year, I purchased items from the JC Penney store in Wilmington,, NC. Their selections were minimal, so I went online over that weekend to jcp.com and found items I liked and ordered them. After trying all items on at home,I selected 2 pairs of shorts to keep (from online ordering), 2 blouses (from in store) and 1 pair of cargo pants (in store). I ordered some items online and used discounts that automatically populated. About an hour later, I thought of some additional items I needed and made a second order. Some discounts automatically populated on this order as well. Then later I got an email that there was a problem with my order. Placed 2 different orders for my shoes. The 1st order was returned. The second order was confirmed to be received on Friday. The store didn't even send them out for shipping until Wednesday, therefore I would not receive them on time for my graduation on Saturday. Now I have no shoes for graduation. I am beyond ****** off and will not order from them ever again.
I would like to express a bad experience I had at a local JCpenney. My wife had ordered some stuff online and it turned out to be the wrong size so we tried to exchange it at our local store. Were were unaware of the policy which states that we cannot exchange anything we bought online with anything in the store. Had a confirmed delivery time between 2-4 pm for my new mattress. Never called or showed up. Had no place to sleep, called the store where I bought the bed and was told it is the delivery company's fault, and that there is nothing they can do. JC Penny Optical sales person in Lone Tree Colorado (Crystal) misrepresented return and refund policy and made several false statements on multiple occasions. In fact doesn't claim she didn't. Told me after there was an issue it was the first time she saw the policy -Claims she didn't know and agreed with me that what the company was doing was wrong in not paying the difference in the price of the return and new glasses. i don't know if they also did anything dishonest with insurance or not but a single vision pair of glasse... read more
The customer service and the website for JCPenny is horrible. It's like they go out of their way for you not to find out how many points you have and how to use them. I spoke to two different people at different times and they just sounded like they didn't want to work there. I went on the chat to find out if you could pay with a debit card online and was told no. I Bought a new dishwasher on May 26, 2018 and it was scheduled to be delivered on June 09, 2018 between 12 and 4 pm. I had an outstanding salesman who was department manager and got one of the most outstanding sales presentations ever, and a great price to boot; It was also a Tax free weekend and I was feeling good.
