I routinely pay bills two weeks before they are due. We reluctantly opened a JC Penney credit card because of a large Christmas purchase deal they had. We do online banking and have never ever had a problem. I get a call from Synchrony Bank who handles this account and immediately I am informed that this is an attempt to collect a debt and the call is recorded. This has been the worst shopping experience I have ever experienced. Bought a mattress online because of the price. Got an email saying that it had shipped from the mfg. Two weeks go by and no word so I contacted them. Customer service was very rude from the beginning. Was told I just had to wait that it could take another week or two. Spoke to a supervisor who was apologetic and said the mattress had been lost. He put a dock trace with the trucking company and said I should call back Monday since it was a Saturday. we ordered Mom a dishwasher to be delivered. The 398.00 was taken from her acct. A day before it was to be delivered the money was returned to her acct. we called Penny's & the rep said it was a backorder & was not available at this time. This was 3/6. we told her to cancel the order & she said she did. I called yesterday to schedule a 4:30 pm appointment with Angel today. I called a hour early to see if I could arrive early and I was informed she was on lunch. So I arrived at 4:30pm only to be advised by Angel that someone else just sat in the chair and if I could come back within a couple of hours. I took off work early to make sure I could bring my son to get his hair done. Why would they schedule me an appointment only to allow someone else to take the slot. I ordered two pairs of Haggar shorts online; I live in a duplex, and like a couple of times before, was unable to put my unit number on the address line. Put it on that second line, you say? Nope: When I do that, it's not included in the delivery address! (They've actually made it worse since my last order if you change the pop-up address at all, it won't let you go any further.) I bought two lamps online. I read the cancellation policy and it said they would cancel if contact was made with customer service within 10 minutes. Immediately after a placed the order I saw the lamps were the wrong dimensions. Consequently I called customer service within 3 minutes but was put on hold for over 40 minutes. Terrible customer service!! I simply wanted to place an order for curtains. The first call was dropped when they tried to transfer me to that department. The second call, I talked to "Jerry" who said I should call an interior decorator! The third call, I was put on hold for 10 minutes while she tried to find the correct color. I had the item numbers for the products and for the colors. I had all measurements and information needed. My order was going to be roughly $3000.00 and they did not know how to place it!! JC Penney has worse vision doctor. I went to Sumitra ******* in Woodbridge mall NJ XXXXX and she was horrible. She gave me a very wrong prescription and once I got my glasses things were lopsided. When I went back to her - she blamed it all on me.
