There should be a zero star option. I have received only a few items I have "backed" on Indiegogo. I have lost, however, thousands of dollars to scammers on the site. They post fake pictures and updates and you never get a product. It's unbelievable how Indiegogo can let so many people take your hard earned money with no repercussions. Indiegogo should have some responsibility for allowing this to happen. It's disgusting.
I've had great luck with Indiegogo campaigns however one regarding electric bicycles has given the organization a black eye and pointed out a major flaw - no recourse for undelivered promises.
Funded a project for around $800. They never delivered and were totally unreachable throughout the campaign. Seems like this was a scam to me. Indiegogo does nothing to protect you from this and basically says you are on your own. They have no status updates or follow through. They basically just give your money away to some random person and it's up to you make sure they deliver. You can not trust this company.
This site should be shut down immediately for supporting fraudulent campaigns and crook “business owners”. If anyone is thinking about contributing to any campaign on this site please save your money and go to a reputable business.
Not worth the headaches. The company really does little to work out complaints and issues with project owners and backers. They often appear to be complicit in assisting the very people that have made them successful. They could easily do much more to obtain refunds or push project owners to be more responsive. I am a backer of over 60 projects. I will never ever participate in any others. Some projects do work, but you are better off getting them for a little more when they hit the marker. Anyone who participates consider yourself a beta tester. If you do not get a project, then consider yourself out of luck - this company offers no, zero, zilch assistance. If you want further info and which projects I tried, drop me an email. ************ ** *****. Just do not use these guys.
I don't receive over half of the items that I have backed. Also, no one can help. I guess I am just out the money.
They took money, and then never respond to requests for assistance. I do not recommend buying anything through them.
Really it should be ZERO stars... this company is nothing but a scam. Do not be surprised... read the reviews and see
