We lived at Satori (an avenue 5 apartment) for a year before moving out BEFORE to the end of our lease. The entire time our appliances flipped our breakers. AC, coffee, the fridgemost appliances flipped breakers. Avenue 5 (management) agreed to cut our rent by a few hundred dollars a month since we couldnt use appliances and have had MANY issues. They said they would do it until the problem was fixed. Let me say this now: it was never fixed. After one month they said nope, its fixed. This was after a master electrician came ... read more

Horrible experience as a current tenant in *********** in ********, **. Moved in December and eventually found the walls and ceiling are poorly constructed with no insulation. As a result, I have been disturbed by the upstairs neighbors who are extremely noisy all day every day; since January I have been living in h*** Staff including Management (*****) and Reg, Mgr, *** are completely unresponsive to my noise complaints and refuse to do anything to address the disturbance even after they have agreed the noise is excessive. ... read more

Avenue5 took me to collections for a **** I never owed and they refused to speak to me on the human level without this issue do not trust anything they tell you it's all lies

I applied at one of your apartments (Rosemont at Lancaster) I paid ****** deposit and I were denied. ( I never move in) The apartment kept my money order in February 19,2022 to this day. I call the officers several time about my money and every time giving me the run around. The apartment saying they have mailed it out but that not true. It is ***** and I still havent gotten my deposit back, why havent I gotten my hard earned money back? My understanding within 30 days my money should have been in the mail. This so unfair. I still have the key to the apartment there because I am being ghosted by the office who have not gotten back to me in over a month. Also sending emails about not accepting phone calls but then not responding to emails either. Also you have defective washer and dryers, ya'll don't clean the grounds, you had a milk jug full of needles that didn't get dealt with for like 2 months. Ya'll got homeless people sleeping under the stairs and then you reduced trash service. You also have a problem with mold as well and I have a long ... read more

I wish I would have checked with BBB prior to applying to ***************** Apartments. The new Assistant Manager ******* told me my $300 Admin Fee would be deducted from my move-in cost once approved. When I went in to sign the paperwork she told me she made a mistake and she got confused from the other apartment complex that she worked for previously. ***** has been managing there for approximately one month. I'm a single black female that lives at ******** Apts. (which is managed by 5th Avenue) in downtown *******, ** and it is a scary environment. The *************** and ******** Apts participate in a community watch program that is designed to make certain members of the community feel quite unsafe. The community members use messaging to watch my comings and goings and are often following me on foot or in their vehicles. Me and my roommates were approved to rent there, but they ended up changing the price of the apartment last minute after we were approved. In my opinion commy opinion, I believe that is a breach of contract. The price of the apartment went up roughly 350 dollars per month. If that's not a scam, then I don't know what is. I really hope that they can fix this because this is really unethical and unprofessional. I MOVED OUT IN JANUARY AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY DEPOSIT AND THEY MADE ME PAY AN ADITIONAL MONTH OF RENT THAT THEY WERE SUPOSEDLY GOING TO REIMBUSE ME AND NOW ITS MARCH 24,2022 AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANYTHING! IM LOOKING FOR LEGAL ADVICE AND HELP FROM THE BBB! LOOKS LIKE THIS IS NOTHING NEW WITH AVENUE 5 RESIDENTIAL
