I've been in my apartment for over 7 years. Ave 5 took over about 3 years in. They took away our 4 day grace ****** and gave is 24 hrs to pay rent. They also increased our late fee to $200. And then convinced us to sign our 4th year lease 2 weeks early to save ti.e, only to charge us a pro rate rent for the last 2 weeks of our previous lease claime the new lease takes effect as soon as its signed and overrides the old lease. Our water **** went from $120 per month th to over $400 with no warning and no **** to show the cause... read more

After living at the Rivage for nearly three years; I feel like I have a very unique perspective of it and it was one that started off strong and ended up horrible. For the first year I lived there, Graystar managed, and they did a great job. When Avenue 5 took over, it all crumbled down. I moved into San Melia apartments Feb of 2020--The brand "new" frig went out and I lost over $200 in food just purchased for moving in < "Sorry, not our problem". This was the start of a long and frustrating trend in maintenance in this complex and a maintenance request is about a 4 week process to get anything fixed or to have people call back. Currently, I have been cooking on a gas stove with only 3 working burners and I am "told" is is "not our problem due to shortage of maintenance people and a nationwide shortage of ap... read more

I was fraudulently charged a holding fee for an apartment that I had submitted an application for, but had not expressed interest in leasing or taking off of the market. This holding fee was $100, and the staff has been very reluctant to refund this money, even after review of the rental criteria and agreements, so much so that I have had to pursue the matter through my bank. Very disheartening to work with this company. Location I specifically dealt with is in ********, ******.

I stopped into the office over the weekend because another one of the pools at Kota North Scottsdale had green water so unable to use. I called the office for an hour without anyone answering the phone. I stopped in the office then to see why this pool was not available again and when would it be ready for use. As I asked one of the girls in there she got very loud and defensive saying that I was recording her. I told her I wasn't recording her and turned my phone to show her. We have leaky faucets, a ***** problem, electrical problems and a leaky a/c unit that is causing water damage on ceiling and nothing has been done. I regret moving here and due to the pandemic I'm stuck in this h*** hole. Sincerly Dissatisfied customer ****************

7 years in business and they have a 1.12/5 customer review rating average out of 65 total here on BBB? Somehow a resulting "B" rating and given accreditation? ...YO. This place is shady asf ******* the apartment manager is the worst oneout of all of em. The apts here r gross and extremely poorly managed and unmaintained

I started living at the property in 2007 and the Avenue5 took over management. Things went from bad to worse. An overcrowded parking lot with residents parking 24/7 in Visitor spaces. A verballly abusive ice cream vendor with loud music. Stairway lights that were out, despite my complaints, when I came home at night.I switched my lease to monthly and put in my 30 days notice to move.
