A broken and damaged dining table was delivered to me on Dec 26th, and it is Impossible to get through to the customer service dept to arrange an exchange. waiting more than 45 mins on several occasions and no one answers the phone. Deeply unimpressed. Am contacting their head office to ask what the problem is!!
While their furniture makes for excellent hacks & storage solutions, returns & exchanges is one of Dante's circles - customer service reps are surly - placing all the onus on the customer, they frequently tell you corporate doesn't know anything & their instructions are wrong, you can't obtain correct parts for damaged items without having to go back through the store, buy another item, then return that item (that's a good 30 min - purchase upstairs in kitchen if you can!) Awful customer service. No one thought to phone to say my order wasn't coming today. what a waste of 4 hours or my time. On top of that, a flawed ordering process and terrible attitude from one member of staff in particular. Competence and manners don't cost anything.
I wish I had read the reviews- do NOT shop at IKEA Brooklyn. I took off 5 days of work to wait for a furniture delivery and spent 14hrs on the phone and not single person could offer anything beyond canned "I'm sorries". IKEA's customer service is non-existent. Please save yourself the aggravation and order from a company that values their customers.
Your delivery service is just the WORST. Not only do the delivery people show up late, or not show up at all, but there are items missing from the order. After spending 45 mins on the phone earlier this week to re-schedule for the missing items to be delivered, and despite receiving a confirmation call the night before - NOBODY SHOWED UP ON THE DAY ITSELF - yesterday! Never in my life have I encountered so much incompetence in the same place. My order came with 2 missing couches and I have been calling you to get them delivered to me every day for the past week. For some reason the order doesn't seem to be going through to the delivery company and to make matters worse when someone finally does answer from your store, they give me attitude as if I am the one at fault.
