What an overwhelming experience. That place is huge! We even ate at their food court. Not bad and the prices were very reasonable. I noticed they have a day care to keep your kids while you shop. It's handicap friendly and their shopping carts glide like they are on ice. We got some great ideas when we remodel our kitchen and may even get the farm sink we saw there when the time comes. Not my first trip so I knew to have a plan. Printed out my shopping list with aisle and bin locations at home. Arrived shortly after it opened. In and out no problem!
Fantastic store with lots to choose from!! The customer service however was pathetic!
Ikea in Charlotte is the worst one I've ever been to. They are dismissive and uneducated about their own products and programs. Managers agree with the staff regardless to truth.

My teacher friend and I went to IKEA to try to find some things for our classrooms. We both got the pencil pillows to buy. When getting up to the register the cashier was not attentive and did not speak to us until we put our 1 pillow on the conveyor belt which I didn't want to get gunk all over. She was not polite and when it came time for my friend to check out she had accidentally picked up the "display" pillow that was in the same basket as the others and wasn't actually on display. Well. IKEA is IKEA. What else can I say, besides: Get the Swedish Meatballs when you have lunch!!
We need an interactive map app just like Disney has! We did 3 rounds in the store trying to find specific items. The computer kiosk only tells you the area, not,the level or direction on how to get there which doesn't help that you have more than one kitchen supplies section etc.
