Terrible I mean terrible customer service. Delivery never showed up and the Brooklyn store is NOT helpful
Worst service possible!!!!!!!! I used the pick and ship service which means that I paid Ikea to take the items I bought off the shelf and I paid for the delivery so it would arrive the day I moved into my new apartment. 3 items were damaged and 1 item was the wrong model. It took 1 week to "approve" the exchange. By that time 1 item was not in stock so I waited at home for the delivery of the first items. No one contacted me when the item was in stock again. Absolutely the worst experience. We purchased bedroom closets and paid for delivery and installation. The installation was a disaster and is DANGEROUS to us and our young daughter. We keep getting the run around from IKEA and their sub contractor XPO Logistics. This situation is a week old and no one wants to help.
Very poor checks and balances. Apparently someone from the store cancelled my delivery service altogether yet IKEA failed to notify me of this, so I've been at home all day waiting for delivery. Now customer service is saying the only way to resolve this and to get my bed (that is if I decide to still get it after such a poor experience) is to go back to the store, which is an extreme hassle.
Dear IKEA, You have a terrible delivery service and an awful customer service!! I have spent hours over the phone with your customer service trying to figure out when the items I have paid for more than a month ago will be delivered. Still waiting on our promised refund for their delivery mistake, they forgot an item with our delivery and then failed to deliver it the next TWO times we arranged for them to do so! We were promised a refund and despite calling everyday this week, we are still waiting.
Spent $3k on kitchen cabinets and when they delivered, one of the three kitchen island assembly kits that I ordered was missing. Called customer service and went to the store and was told there was a sale stop! Seriously? Then someone put in an order for me saying that it would be delivered by 12/10 and when it never came, i escalated to management and promised that he would look into it. I am sitting here in ikea Brooklyn in returns with each seat filled, 7 employees standing around and only 1 person helping people. Disgraceful.
I've waited for FORTY FUCKING MINUTES trying to reach someone at 888-888-4532. Is this a fucking joke? I have pieces of my order missing and I have pieces of other person's order, what the fuck?! You were very fast to take my money but you fucking suck at your job!!! I had a bed, a table and a kid's chair, HOW CAN YOU FUCK UP SOMETHING SO SIMPLE???!
