Absolute worst customer service of my life.First of all, the store experience was NOT IKEA brand service. The staff members were unhelpful and rude. NOT what I expect from IKEA. Then, a staff member filling out an order for home delivery filled out the wrong couch for delivery. I received it and called immediately. Worst service ever. After spending serious $$$ on the pax system a week before delivery they send me a note & gift card telling me that the wardrobe is out of stock. What am I going to do about the shelving units now? Display it on the floor? I can't even order it online due to the expensive shipping fee which was not covered on the gift card. The worst experience shopping in any IKEA store I have a had you pay for customer pickup merchandise really quick you got to spend 3 hours that I will never get back in my life picking up for the merchandise that is ridiculous
Terrible store reflecting the customer service I've had from IKEA US. Store in New Haven Connecticut assured me that the boxes we needed to complete a unit I was buying would be in stock for online ordering. After trying for over four weeks to order online the customer service centre told me that, no, theses aren't available online. I therefore have to trek to Ikea to return the items bought or see if they have them in stock. The Brooklyn store has them in stock apparently (online) but when I get here, no they don't.
