Obtained coverage of my gas line through the Southern California Gas Company. Pay a few dollars a month and I get protection for when I have problems with the gas lines. Might cover gas appliances, too, but I'm not certain. Anyway, was smelling gas in my home so called the gas company. They told me I had a leak and they shut off my gas. my water bill jumped very high as i was notified by my city water dept. I called them and they said it was MY problem. so i called home serve as i knew i had the policy. They immediately contacted ***** ****** ******** and they sent someone out right away. The whole thing was taken care of immediately. It was super great service by Home Serve. Home serve failed in the replacement of my hot water heater. They spent up my entire benefit in service calls due to miscommunication with their contracted service providers. It took THREE days for them to decide who needed to actually perform the work. Three service calls that was charged against my allotted benefit, so by the time the approved contractors came out and finally did their estimate for the water heater replacement, I was told by Home Serve that I would have to come out $1600+ out of pocket over my original ben... read more

Hi ****** * am sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your experience. There was some miscommunication regarding who could service your water heater which did cause some extra expense onto the water heater replacement cost. We would have been able to remove the costs of the 1st 2 contractors from your bill but it would have still left you with an out of pocket expense. I made a claim. It came to over $2000. They told me they would only reimburse me for 25%. This was February 2019. They said check was in the mail. Never received check. I called 15 times over the last year and not resolved. Over ten months later I still haven’t seen the check.

I see that we did reimburse you for what our contract terms covered but were not able to reimburse cleaning fees, etc. because our policy only covers a leak or permanent blockage on the line. I had inside electrical problem and I am glad I had taken warranty from Home Serve.They sent the Licensed electrician the very next day and the electrician from ** *********** Martin did a great job in finding and fixing the problem right then and I am very happy to take the warranty from Home Serve.Thank you Home Serve.

Used ***** *********they were in touch within the 1 hour call back. They were within 2-3 hours and the technician was very efficient. The whole process took 3 hours at the most from initial phone call to completion of work. Thanks HomeServe for providing at great service.
