When cancelling the service these people were extremely rude to my mother, who recently lost her husband (my dad), to a sudden heart attack. The service was a complete rip off and a typical insurance oriented quasi-scam with extremely high premiums for dubious coverage. We were completely underwhelmed by customer service and it seems to be a typical scare sales tactic. Maybe you will have better luck. Not likely, judging by these other reviews...

Service was excellent from HomeServe. I would like to see 24 hour emergency contractor service added to the program. I had to go 5 days without hot water because of my hot water heater failing. I called for service on the evening of 9/22/20. Same night a contractor called and said they would be out the next day 9/23/20. The morning of 9/23/20 contractor called and said they wouldn't be able to get to me until 9/28/20! That was unexpectable. Have tried 3 times to get an appt for a 'heating system tune-up' . Each time the rep has told me that the appointment calendar is 'unpopulated' thru December, which means they can't offer ANY appt for the rest of the year. Ridiculous. Scheduling an appt should be the easiest thing a service company does. I have to assume that HomeServe 1) has never done this before, or 2) is bored with dealing with customers. Company installed ductwork and plaster bubbled around vent. They fixed one and now another vent has plaster bubbling around it and mold has begun to grow. Technician said It wasn't installed correctly and I would be responsible for repairing ceiling if he cracked it while trying to repair it. I fail to see his logic. They installed it incorrectly but that is my fault. Water is dripping out of an intake vent and he said that wasn't possible. Anyway, I have lost faith in the company.
Home Serve was very helpful and the repair went well. We are pleased by al the service we got.

This company sends you letters and e-mail's that makes it seem like they are from your Gas company. This company does not use its Home Serve USA logo anywhere in the letter or e-mail, it uses your gas company logo as a letter head. It only mentions that it is a third party and only a representative at the very bottom of the letter or e-mail in small print. This is a very deceptive business practice that borderlines on fraud.

Homeserve was there to handle all of the initial calls to the plumber when my gas meter registered a leak. The plumber came by to look over the meter lines the same day and returned the next day to fix it. It was one of the least stressful experiences of what could of been a very costly repair!
