I received a mailer from HomeServe with the incorrect name addressed on it as the owner of the home. This name is a former name of mine and is not listed as an OWNER!!!! of the home. With that said these people, or at least the person with their name signed in the letter ******* *****addressed this letter to my old name as Mr. which already is disrespectful, and my legal name isn't mentioned anywhere. I had a leak in the external water line, and after calling HomeServe, they took care of the rest (I had an external line plan only). They sent out a plumber the next day to determine (by shutting of the water in the house and examining the water meter) that there was in fact a leak. When that plumber would not be able to address the leak rapidly, HomeServe sent another company who identified the site of the leak, dug down to the pipe, and repaired the leak. It could not have been easier.

Once, I reported a water leak to HomeServe, they sent out a service person to check the leak within about 2 days. Since it was a leak between house and meter, the service person was able to locate the leak at the pipe location at the regulator; he removed the soil and repaired the cracked pipe connection and replaced the soil, within about an hour. If he had not been able to locate the leak, he would have had to call another service person to come to find the leak which would have taken several days longer. Both office perso... read more

Add my name to the list of people extremely disappointed and disgusted by the operations at HomeServe. They do not respond to an emergency with any sense of professionalism. I had a leaking water heater, from the bottom which indicates replacement, no question. I called HomeServe and they said they'd have a vendor call me back. They called back within an hour and said they could come 6 days later! Very shoddy service, lack of protection when needed, then they tell you they are not insurance, they are a service provider. The water pipe under my house burst last Sunday, April 11th. I was at work when it happened but came home around 2:45 p.m. to the unexpected disaster of water gushing everywhere in my backyard and under my house Called Homeserve to report and send a plumber. Had a slab leak with water coming up through the carpet in the living room. I have the interior Plumbing coverage through home serve and call to request service and explain that I needed a plumber to come find the pipe in the wall that was causing the problem, cap it off until I could find a repiping company. The representative was very nice and entered the ticket information. She said someone would be calling me shortly.
