I made a reservation for the Hilton Hawaiian Village for May 1-7. Due to COVID-19 I received a communication stating that they would not be able to honor the reservation. Completely understandable. We are all having to make adjustments. My problem, however, is that I never received any kind of communication verifying I would be receiving a refund. I stayed at the Doubletree hotel in Largo, Md for about 2 weeks and have a MAJOR problem with the front desk manager charging me incidental fees and placing my incidental fees on someone else's card. She assured me that my monies will be placed on the correct card and have shown how incompetant she is. I have never written a letter to the BBB, but I felt it was my responsibility to share my experience with the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel - MIDTOWN in Phoenix, Arizona. My son had a school convention nearby. Unfortunately, he contracted influenza A. I called to try to cancel my reservation, due to influenza being considered epidemic level by the CDC. The staff was “unable” to cancel my reservation and I was told that they would rather that I bring my son than cancel my reservation. Thieves. They offered no parking so I paid over $100 for parking at the parking lot they partnered with. After I checked out I checked my glove department for money I left hidden in my glove department and that’s when I noticed someone had went through my glove department and found a large amount of money I left in there hidden for a business transaction. The hotel is staffed with people of bad character. The internet is poor at best. Don't ask for help with the internet because they will not help you. My experience there was horrific to say the least. The night desk clerk is a total jerk with a vulgar mouth. The hotel management is of like mind. They just don't care about their customers.
