I purchased a 2022 ***** Silverado from Grubbs ******** of ********* ** in March 2024 and I was left very unsatisfied. I was an out of state buyer from the internet and was mislead about the condition and accident history of the vehicle. The truck had a huge dent in the rear bumper that was conveniently left off of the correspondence with the salesperson **********************, even though I asked for an accurate description and videos of the vehicle. The manager ********************* was of no help with "my problem now" (a ... read more

Picked up 2024 MDX from Acura of Huntington on Friday, 3/1, (today is Sunday). The *** had 2500 miles on it and the sales person, ***, said that it was used by the Sales Manager or Service Manager for a few months which is common. The car was the color and options, Advanced package, that I was looking for so figured may as well save a few thousand dollars. I test drove the car and gave it a good look over and took it home (I live about 10 miles from the dealer). Saturday, 3/2, it poured all day so I left it in the garage. To... read more

Typical bait and switch. Wont honor listed price. They wanted to charge additional 3k for mandatory add-ons. If they are indeed mandatory, then the add-ons should be reflected on the listed price. The lack of transparency was designed to bait customers in. They are the embodiment of the term stealership.

If you want to get price gouged, go to Ed Martin Acura. Told me the price of an HID low beam headlight bulb was $326 for my Acura (just for the part alone, labor was kind of reasonable but surely overpriced considering their reputation for price gouging). Did my own research and everywhere else this bulb was no more than $100. This shouldn't even be legal to ***** customers like this.

Business response:

The quote the customer received was for an OEM bulb plus labor and tax for a total installation price of $325.49 compared to an aftermarket bulb of $100 without installation and tax or a 12-month/12,000-mile parts and labor warranty.

I had my car timing belt changed at this dealership awhile ago and I was given a warranty. My timing belt broke before the warranty was up but they refuse to replace the belt. I thought I was going to a reliable dealership but unfortunately its not!

Please tell me how they have been the only Acura dealer in all of Monmouth and ocean counties for 30+ years and are not a monopoly? I took my **** TSX there for an overheating problem and was told by ***** in service that they would need half of the repair cost upfront in order to work on it due to the age of the car. When I asked if that was a policy they had in writing, he told me we do not but thats just how weve always done it. Ive spoken with several other Acura dealers and they had never heard of such a policy. When I ... read more

My son was looking for used vehicle he saw McGrath Acura had a used 2023 TLX for sale $27,995 with **** miles listed on their website. I called McGrath on 1/9/2024 spoke with **** and scheduled an appointment to see the car on 1/13/2024. My son decided to go to the dealership early to test drive the vehicle and get a quote for his trade (2015 ***** Silverado 4 dr). He spoke with **** and *********** the Used Car Manager and was told they would sell 2023 Acura for $26,817.69. ** wrote this price on a sheet of paper but he did... read more

I negotiated with the sales manager to purchase a new Integra. When I arrived at the dealership, the price was not honored, extra items were added, and the value of the trade had decreased. The general manager had canceled the agreed-upon terms. I left the dealership and found the car for $6,000 less than Acura of Peoria wanted to charge. Needless to say, their word does not count for anything. Customers should avoid dealing with this dealership. I would have rated the dealership lower if possible.

Business response:

Regarding this deal. The deals was worked month before the car got to the dealership. We have notified the client many times that his trade in was subject to reappraisal due to volatility of used car market. When our dealership got to see the trade, the market value has dropped and the vehicle was not up to our standards and it had damage mirror that was backordered and not resalable for months. It's unfortunate that we couldn't agree on a deal.
