We waited 45 minutes to get a nurse in here for my brother’s pain medicine. The last time it was about 25 minutes wait. Nurses are never around. They forget to come in and change his IV and just leave it beeping for 25 minutes at 4 am. No one has tried to help him wash up or brush his teeth in days, despite us asking. We’ve been trying to do it ourselves. ICU and his nurses in 4th floor intermediate were amazing and so attentive. I wish we could bring him back there. We are contacting a patient representative. Im sitting here at UPMC Surgery Center being held hostage with siatic nerve damage being forced unlawfully because the men of Erie, Pa. are known to leave there wives in surgery

They have screwed up my daughter's meds, refused to help her to bathroom when she was not allowed up,caused her unnecessary and life threatening surgeries because of their screwups, including postponing a life threatening surgery because they didn't want to pay overtime. This also resulted in an added dangerous, extra surgery because of this. We have gone to advocates only to be told there was no wrong doing. their part. This has been over several years. Can you say sweep under the rug!😡

Very slow Emergency staff. Filthy waiting room. Can’t hear your name being called by the nurses. Waited 2 hours just to be registered. Should I go on? Seems like a common complaint for this hell hole.
Great hospitality, if i could change anything about it or suggest anything it would be the speed of everything the place is so slow... but other then that.. very good staff i rate at 10/10
My wife had her breast surgery this morning at UPMC. Things couldn't have been any better from the time we entered the door. Everyone was pleasant and very professional. couldn't of ask for more. By far a 5 star hospital. highly recommend. Her Doctor, Dr Engles is a master of his profession, with great bed side manners and explaining everything. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF YOUR THE BEST.
During my stay at Hamot I was in 8 east and I had the greatest experience with the staff. I had never had a surgery before and my doctors and nurses were so attentive to my concerns. I was so impressed to have my own, private, comfortable room and bathroom. I had had the option to go to a Buffalo hospital instead but I would never regret my decision to go to Hamot.
