I brought my husband into the ER yesterday morning for severe, upper abdominal pain. Other than the clerk at the "sign in" desk, we were treated with dignity, compassion and respect. I had excellent care while a patient at Hamot. I was there 9 days and I received care from a very knowledgeable and professional staff I would certainly recommend UPMC Hamot.
They been very good to my mom when she had surgery everyone there are very helpful and caring thank you so much
Their heart Dept. is outstanding. Had 7 by-passes at one time 21 yrs ago. 2 stents two years ago. No problems since. Top surgons and Dr's.
I recommend UPMC mainly because of the exceptional care I have been fortunate enough to receive from one of your physicians, Dr. Raymond McAllister, MD. I have been a patient of Dr. McAllister since 2002 and have received prompt, courteous, and quality care. A few of my friends are also his patients and agree with me. I habe always had a good experience with UPMC Hamot, but Saturday night was horrible. I understand they had 2 traumas that night, but to make someone with a chronic brain condition that has already had 5 brain surgeries wait 4 hours to get a migraine cocktail is a bit ridiculous!
it is a nice hospital but the waiting time was too long
was there for 3 months in 2017 Treated me pretty well Yes there were a few things that could have been better but, as with everything there is always room for improvement They did save my life for real that is the most important thing of all I was able to see family & friends again That for quite some time was looking pretty bad Had several great Dr's & nurses taking care of me I thank them all for really working hard for 24/7 for months round the clock never giving up
