RecommendedI was transferred from my local ER TO HAMOT ON JULY 11TH with 2 abscessed teeth. I had surgery by Dr. Basile on the 12th. I was here for my 50th birthday on July 17th. I got flowers from my Dr. the dietary department sent me angel food cake with strawberries. the 7th floor staff all made and signed a birthday card for me. I cried. I was there last night with my 10 year old daughter who broke her arm. I can not say enough about how professional and polite every member of Hamot's team were. From the helpful security guards who got her in a wheel chair to the staff at the desk who got her into a room quickly. The doctors and nurses were excellent and everyone worked hard to help put her fears to rest. A wonderful X ray tech worked overtime to keep her out of pain as he got the shots the doctors would need to see what they would need to do. In the end she... read more
Somebody that works there has a BIG mouth. This person told outside people the name of an inpatient. I will get a name.
My Dad and my husband April 2019 and May 2019 are alive and well because of all the tenacious doctors not stopping until they had the right answer and correct plan of action. The nursing staff cannot compare to any other hospital. This hospital is a very special place.
Get nurses that are not rude and ignorant. My husband has broken ribs, fractured back in 3 places and fractured pelvis..One nurse that helped get him out of bed hit the chair hard enough to jar him ,when he moaned she got snouty with him and said loudly I didn't touch you I didn't hurt you. Her name tag was coved so couldn't get her name. His nurses acts like its a inconvenience to do her job,when he asks her something she rolls her eyes at him spends most of the time in hall talking loudly.
