RecommendedSwitched about 7 months ago and the first couple months were great. Then the Texas summer went into full effect, like always, and the price spikes went wild in August. September was better but still had to watch the app and adjust thermostat asap to avoid major charges both months. August didn't do so well but did better in September. Now with the cooler weather here things have gotten much better but still requires monitoring. Griddy is the way to smartly monitor and save energy cost.
Griddy's customer service and available monitoring tools are great. They have made me super aware of my usage. In general my usage has dropped 1/3 since I started using Griddy. I havent found huge savings in the $/KWh sense, but with the increased awareness of usage, I have significantly reduced my overall monthly bill. The wholesale seems to work well for me because my usage, 3 months >1000, 6 months 500-1000, and 3 months <500, doesnt fit very well into the tiers of fixed rate plans which have actually made them very varia... read more
I have had 4 months of the lowest rates I have EVER had at our home of 26 years!! Their prices are great and their app is super. Very easy and intuitive. Go Griddy!
Griddy opens up the door for you to better manage your electric usage. We have an electric car now and know that we will get the best price for charging it by scheduling overnight rather than having an always fixed rate.
