RecommendedI signed up last year in August with Griddy and could not be happier! The app is very easy to use, I love having the ability to check my daily, even hourly, usage, and even when there are spikes i the price Griddy informs you days in advance and gives you options to decrease your usage during these times! It is a very easy tool and I have already recommended it to all my friends who need electricity changes!
Griddy does a great job. I especially like the price spike notifications I get on my phone. It help me track my electrical use so I can decide when the best time to use high draw items. By paying close attention to the spikes in the summer months it has allowed me to negotiate around the spike in a very efficient way.
Griddy works if you use it like its designed to be used. If you plan to adjust your energy usage depending on energy prices and price spikes, you'll end up paying less than any other energy company out there. Most of the people who are dissatisfied with Griddy do it because they didn't understand what wholesale means and happened to sign up for wholesale electricity during the hottest week of the summer. I like the high spike updates.
I really like Griddy about 90% of the time. I wife and I live in Arlington and have five accounts with Griddy. But we have found is that for 90% of the time it is absolutely awesome can you save quite a bit of money. You just run into trouble during the summer when we have all of the price hikes. I’ve been on Griddy since June and overall I am happy. August was brutal but the months since have been good. Especially this month. I want to give it a complete year to really see if my overall cost has gone down. So far I am on track to save some money.
Wholesale electricity is the way to go. Griddy’s simple and easy to understand app makes it easy to manage usage when prices fluctuate.
They advertise their low prices but they don’t talk about the multiple spikes in the electricity price that makes your monthly bill higher than a conventional electric provider. It was a horrible experience to choose Griddy.
How can this be pre paid yet I cancel service and get a bill for 2 cents. WOW griddy they should call you greedy.
