I came ready to use a coupon for an intermediate service. The service person pointed out that my Outback was not ready for an intermediate service and that it only needed a much less expensive service this time. He also made notes of items that should be dealt with during my next visit. It helps to know that everything is working well and which things will need attention in the future.
I upgraded from a 2016 Cross Trek Premium to a 2018 Cross Trek Limited. I dealt with the same salesman, Mark Kutovy, that I had met when purchasing the earlier model. I don't believe in a merry-go-round negotiating process. Mark laid out the numbers, I told him what deal I wanted (I do heavy research on dealer cost vs. MSRP ahead of time), and the deal was done.
