All my interaction with Eddie Bauer was in the November-December 2019 period. My advice is to avoid Eddie Bauer and save yourself a lot of money and aggravation. I spent at least 2 hours of my life and had a lot of aggravation trying to get back the money I paid Eddie Bauer. It was all for $20 but I was doing it as a matter of principle. This is my story. Disgusting. Ordered 5 items on Black Friday. I have received 1 item. The other 4 are nowhere to be seen. Fedex doesn't have any shipping information. Customer service placed me on hold for 30 minutes before telling me my items were out of stock... lol. Its 12/17/2019 before I find out an order from 11/28 is "out of stock." They didn't update me. as other stated ,awful business practices, order on monday item was available and "processing " for a week ..so i chatted with customer service was told it was back-ordered,website still shows its available. then received a duplicate email "your item was confirmed" {one week after original conformation}.. still nothing, worst shipping experience i have had since the 1980's
Customer Service sucks! Ordered two items. Says processing shipping-for days, no movement. I paid for expedited shipping. Called to see the status. Customer service reps are in Philippines-I can not understand them. Obviously won’t get gifts before the holiday. I need to find somewhere else to shop.
Try to order two items on Black Friday which was a disaster since the site was not responding. Finally was able to order the following day on 11/30. Half a month later I got one of the item on 12/14. The next day that the other item is no longer available. This is a terrible practice of luring customers in with low prices so they other items and then say we don't actually have it.
I ordered 3 items (order #********) to be given as christmas gifts on 11/15/19 when i did not receive the order in 10 days i emailed customer service to find out what the reason for the delay was, customer service responded with an email stating "Thank you for contacting Eddie Bauer inquiring about your recent order number ********. Placed an order. Received email saying it was shipped. My credit card was charged. No sign of my merchandise 12 days later. Customer service says being shipped by USPS. Email says Fed ex. Tracking comes back as "Not Available". Will I ever get my coat? Was charged long before it was shipped..................I am being scammed????? Never again!!!
Similarly to what others are saying, my customer service experience was truly the worst I have ever experienced. I paid extra for two day shipping for a very specific reason (I needed a pair of boots by a certain date for travel purposes). When the order did not arrive (nor did I receive any type of email updates during this time) I contacted customer support who effectively said they did . not know when this would be sent out for delivery. I ordered 4 items on December 1st 2019 and a week later still have no tracking information. Eddie Bauer claims it shipped on the 6th but Fedex reports there is no receipt of package. FedEx shows no delivery date (or pick up) but Eddie Bauer (on an automated voice system) claims delivery delay to at least the 18th. No one will be available to receive the order but they do not care. They will not cancel the order and say return it if I don’t want it.
