Bought a jacket online with expected delivery in 5-7 days. After 7 days received an email saying order was processed. 5 days later received an email to say item is backordered with a ship date of 1 week later. Ordered 2 items. The first item shipped right away but the second was placed on back order and would ship later. I was charged 17.99 to ship the first item. I bought the shirts on a coupon for 50% off. I saved $20 by doing this, however getting charged 17.99 two times would negate the savings. If I could give this negative stars I would! On October 3, 2019 I was attempting to make an online purchase with a code for 50% off clearance merchandise (FALL50). When It came time to check out the code was only applying 30% off my order instead of the 50%. Something has gone horribly wrong with this company. There must have been some recent changes since July to customer service and billing. I placed an order in July with no problem whatsoever. I placed an order in September and have still not received my three items. I thought that Eddie Bauer (EB) was a top rate company before I placed a recent order with them. I had placed my very first order with EB for 7 coats in various styles, colors and sizes. This used to be a good company. I don't know what happened. My most recent order was shipped to a wrong address. I called 4 days ago, trying to get them to reship the order to a correct address. The first time I called, I heard a lot of noise, nobody answered, and they hung up. The second time I called, someone answered. Eddie Bauer recently (and discreetly) got rid of their lifetime guarantee. I used the Wayback Machine to narrow it down to sometime between March 27, 2019 and May 30, 2019. TERRIBLE customer service and TERRIBLE management. Ordered 3 items, received one of the three, plus something I did not even order. The invoice listed the 3 items that I originally ordered, as if they were all in the bag.
