I placed a first time order with EB and the Item was way too large for me. Yes Customer service support is hard to get to. I finally found a rep who assured me it Would go back with no additional shipping charges. That was sent back on 2-13-20. I was told I would get an email with status Of receipt of return within 7-10 days. That Never happened. I have been due a refund since the end of February for a return. As of today, April 23, 2020, I still have not received my refund. There is no way to contact anyone either - I have sent emails, all of which went unanswered. The message on their customer service phone line says they aren't assisting with returns except through chat and email, but their chat service is down every time I check.

Ordered a rain coat. Was a size too small so sent it back for a replacement larger size. Didn't hear anything for a month and a half (in the middle of rainy season) and when I reached out, they said we are processing your return. Officially 3 months later, no replacement coat and no reimbursement. I've followed up several times with just auto-responses. Totally lame. Will never order from them again! Purchase at your own risk.

Impossible to get through to customer service in order to make a return. They have a message when you call 1-800 and it won’t put you through to anyone and disconnects you in the end. I received paperwork in my order and I had a mistype in their email address and also a typo in their Canadian phone number for returns. I still haven’t been able to get in touch with them after trying for 10 days

World's WORST Customer Service - although the products are of good quality, the processing time is terrible, and if there's an issue - exchange, return, refund - good luck it's a miserable, frustrating experience. it took me months and months to sort out an exchange. Customer Service NEVER responded to emails and I couldn't get through on the telephone. By the time it was sorted, skiing season was over! Bought online twice and received both jackets in a timely manner. One jacket was way too large so I needed to return it before the smaller jacket arrive. I have been on hold for upwards of 2 hours three times now. These calls just dropped the call and advised me that the number is not valid ?! This response after listening to Eddie Bauer pitch that I was in line to be the 21st caller- so don’t hang up ! It was hung up on ME . I agree with what others are saying here. I 've been a customer for many years, but no more. I just realized that a return I'd sent on 2/25/20 had not been credited as of today 4/6/20. I chatted with customer service who said my return was received but not processed after 6 weeks! She finally did a manual refund, and I'm supposed to actually get it in 7-10 days. I am a third generation Eddie Bauer enthusiast but it will end here. Poor and misleading customer service interactions the first three times. They tried to blame it on the carrier. Do yourself a favor and buy from Orvis or Filson instead. When they did away with the Sport Shop for all intents and purposes I should have known they were no longer concerned with “what would Eddie do?” Sorry Grandpa but your Eddie Bauer gear collection ends with me.

There needs to be a way to give zero stars!! I've been mistakenly charged for a purchase ! I got all the way through the ordering process, including payment, NO order # or confirmation after hitting submit, it's on my PayPal now!! What??? Something fishy is going on..
