***** *** was very thorough, polite and professional. When I asked him to check the fire alarms and carbon monoxide alarms, he strongly suggested that the latter alarm should be plugged into a socket NOT close to the floor. He told me that alarms are now available that include both smoke and carbon dioxide detectors together in the same alarm system. Had signed up for furnace check up in late Summer. Technician arrived promptly at scheduled time. ***** was both courteous and clean while doing the Fall check up. Our only complaint would be that we were quoted $225 for the Fall and Spring check up, but were then charged $275 on the day of the work. Seems that if there was a change to their offer, the professional thing to do would be to notify the customer prior to completion of work rather than afterward. *******

Its hard to stop a Trane. Unfortunately that has not been my experience having had numerous service calls on my system.October 29, 2024, my Design Aire installed A/C was not cooling. The service tech did a very brief check of the outside unit and found a small leak. He stated that it was likely going to continue to leak but he was going to add a little freon (at no cost) to hold me over as it was near the end of the season for needing A/C. That worked. DesignAire ********* sent a service technician to our home today to repair our 7-year old Trane A/C. Unit had failed during a 100-degree Friday, and we were unaware until Saturday AM. Technician **** ****** was on call and arrived within 45-minutes. Quickly diagnosed the issue as a failed start capacitor and replaced it with a more durable capacitor with a 5-year warranty.
