Tried to cancel order on 6/11 was notified on 6/13 that item had already shipped. Subsequently Crate & Barrel sent a shipping notification on 6/18??!! Was I lied to? Apparently, when the item does arrive, it will cost me $21 for return shipping. Buyer be advised, if you do place an online order with Crate and Barrel do NOT expect that you have the option of canceling order prior to shipping (no matter how delayed the pre-shipping process maybe). I placed my order on 6/5.

I ordered custom chairs on 02/08/2020. It's now 06/15/2020 and I haven't heard anything. Reaching them on the phone is nearly impossible unless you have half a day and don't get cut off. I sent them an email a week ago and no response other than the auto-reply letting me know how much they appreciate my reaching out! I used to like C & B but have serious reservations about ever ordering from them again.

Customer service is rarely available - hotline waiting times are at least 2 hours and text back takes 4-5 business days.

… Order placed May 14 … Credit Charged May 15 … Still waiting for information/update May 26 What company these days charges you as soon as they take your order without any communication of any kind? Even with COVID this is unacceptable, and borders on fraud in my opinion . . . you've taken my money, and no shipment, no information, and at times can't even get a ring tone when you call. Love Crate & Barrel but would NEVER order ANYTHING by mail again. E-V-E-R What a sham.

I have been waiting for a shipment I placed for a shipment I placed on April 23rd. It promised delivery within 5-7 days . It still hasn’t shipped. I called yesterday, they said it was now 12 to 14 days. WHAT REALLY ANNOYS ME??!!!! Is they have me on a mailing list promising delivery by MOTHERS DAY, which is 9 days away. What about my order. Is this company real? It took 4 tries to properly pack a Farm House bowl so it actually arrived in 1 piece a month and a half after Christmas , finally. Horrible quality on furniture. We bought a outdoor patio table in 2019 time frame which has been staining on it's own. Crate and Barrel did not stand behind their product when we asked them for exchange/refund. I will not be purchasing anymore furniture from this store.

In Dec 2012 we bought a dining set from CandB. Italian leather seats on the six chairs. No delivery problems which seems amazing given most reviews here. We were pleased with our purchase and so bought 2 extra chairs two years later. We were told then that the chairs would be exactly the same except that the leather was replaced by a matching vinyl. We are very disappointed in the customer service received by Crate & Barrel over the past two months. We placed a large order online at Crate & Barrel on 2 September 2019 to redo our master bedroom furniture. As we do not live near a store, we paid for in-home delivery, and used our Crate & Barrel credit card.
