Bought an item during the Black Friday weekend sale, was going to take 2-3 weeks for delivery which was fine. After scheduling delivery they charged me the difference of $800+ for the current price. One and done with this company
We ordered several items from Crate & Barrel Kids. Our order was originally placed online to be shipped to our home. We received a notification that our address was changed by the vendor and it was sent via FedEx to another address. We complained to FedEx and Crate & Barrel. Bought several THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of product. We were told to open a Crate&Barrel card, so we could get design dollars to out toward future purchases. Were awarded $600 design dollars for opening the card plus our purchases. We went to use the design dollars only to find Crate&Barrel closed the account w/out notice two years before it was set to expire. This is my first and will be my last purchase and experience with Crate & Barrel. On 9/5/2020, I purchased a Lounge II 93” sofa. At their store in Richmond Heights, MO and on line the sofa shows with 4 (four) throw pillows. When the sofa finally arrived on 11/11/2020, it only has 2 (two) throw pillows. On 11/16/2020 I went back to the store and spoke to the person that sold me the sofa, and she told me no problem, they will be sent to your home. Worst customer service ever. I have been trying for A WEEK to reach a customer service representative about wedding registry. On hold once for 45 min--no one. Another time on hold for AN HOUR--no one. Text messaged. Took 2 days to get a response. Asked for a call back and got one two days later when out to dinner with friends. Sent emails. No response. Ordered a table from Crate and Barrel over a month ago. The table was finally delivered on 9/12 without the correct screws needed to install the two pieces of the table together. I call crate and barrel customer service, and they tell me the screws are on backorder and the screws won't be available until 9/23. Fine. They ship me a new table, and FOR THE SECOND TIME they send the wrong screws. How do you mess this up twice? We ordered a topside bed for my daughter on 8/6/2020, got delivery set up for 9/9 and 9/10. Got a call on 9/9 morning saying hardwares were missing so the bed could not be assembled during the delivery. Then got a call saying the drawers of the bed which were expected on 9/10 not available anymore. I place my order one month ago and I am still waiting for my product which has been in route for two weeks. Yesterday i received an email to rate my product. Awkard to say the least. This isn't the first time I've been disappointed by this store but it will be my last. They are overpriced and have a poor sense of customer respect.
I am incredibly disappointed in my recent experiences with CB2/Crate and Barrel. While their furniture is beautiful, I cannot recommend that anyone purchase anything from this company. Here is why: I ordered a marble table from CB2 back in April of 2020. I ordered it knowing it was back ordered until May/June. No problem, I can wait for this awesome table. After 2 months of waiting, I was able to successfully schedule a delivery for the item. As a side note, they claim you can schedule a delivery time online, that is a lie. ... read more
