I don’t know where to begin. We purchased this table on Oct 20, 2018 and were told that we should expect to receive the table by mid-November, 2018; however, the table is still nowhere to be seen. It’s been 5 months of waiting, countless hours on the phone with customer service, delay after delay, not to mention a financial hold on the entire order regardless of the fact that the order was paid in full at the time of purchase. After a visit to the Highland Village Crate & Barrel store in Houston in mid February, I decided to order a set of shelves and asked for home delivery. The original order, on 2/18/2019, showed a expected delivery date of 2/28. I bought a sofa from Crate and Barrel last march. It almost immediately began fraying and pilling - the fabric was terrible. I asked to return it. CB2 / Crate and Barrel scheduled a pick-up during working hours so I had a neighbor let them in. After they unloaded the sofa and my friend locked the door (this was about 45 minutes in total); the representative realized he accidentally left his papers in my locked house. I ordered a Mason Bed online in early Dec. it was on back order. When it was finally delivered in Mid January, I was charged the amount plus $139 for shipping. The packaging was damaged and the bed was dinged and there was discoloration. After multiple calls to Customer Service and long hold times, I finally got a nice person who said they refund the shipping and replace the parts that were damaged. I have had the worst customer service at the Southpoint Mall in Durham, NC from both the salesperson, (Jenny-who is the rudest ever), and her supervisor. Everyone is so pleasant and kind until there is a problem that doesn't go their was as far as commission , then they turn into monsters. I will never ever step foot in a Crate and Barrel Store in my life, nor will any of my friends and family.
After waiting 3 weeks, and multiple 1hr or more calls and emails with your customoer service I was told my order was stuck in picking that this happens at times and they wiould push it through and expedite shipping. I've been on hold a total of 2 hours. I get it; there is a high call volume, but to then get on the phone with a customer service agent with an attitude, Melissa ********, was highly aggrevating. Fine, the table I ordered on 9/18/18 is back ordered for 3 months and is a Basque II and not a Basque I (not the same table in name or sku but literally the same table...), so I ask if I can buy the cheaper Basque I and Melissa told me it is not available on-line. I feel that the advertising laid out by both cb2 and crate&barrel is a bait/switch. They offer rewards through applying for their credit card. I have an 830 credit score for past 10 years, own my home, and only owe 25% of the equity on my home. I also work at one of the largest technology companies in the world as a senior manager. Despite this stellar financial record, I was declined on a CB2 credit card. I am 9 months pregnant and ****** off. We ordered a dresser and a cubby holder for our son's nursery and have spent over $1,500 in the process. Our experience has been a nightmare from start to finish. We took the day off work to be home for the delivery of the dresser. No one showed up.
