I've made several purchases over the past 1.5 years at Crate & Barrel and their sister company CB2 - they make great looking products but their customer service is terrible. My most recent experience was a half delivered coat rack that was marked as a completed delivery, requiring me to call persistently to track down what the problem was. My couch was delivered over 12 months ago with a small tear in the back. I have diligently jumped through all of the hoops - 4 different 800 numbers, multiple touch points, etc. and 2 different repair people(4 days off of work to be home) and STILL not fixed. I will never buy another item from C&B.
This is the second time I have returned an item to CB2 and both times I was only able to receive a refund once I provided the tracking number for my shipment. Unlike most reputable companies that issue refunds automatically, CB2 forces customers to take time to call/e-mail to follow-up. In fact, it seems that your company's policy is to hold the money even after the return has been completed until a customer complains....bad customer service. I tried to write a review of my customer service experience for a furniture delivery purchase I made, but they will not post reviews that mention customer service issues on their website...I think consumers should be aware that the delivery window for cb2 furniture is 7AM-7PM. I found this out after calling to schedule delivery. When I called the wait time was over 40 minutes so I left my number for callback. I have had a string of negative interactions with different companies' customer service over the past few months so I thought it needed to be said that this company is great. I had a very refreshing experience. I received a wedding gift through my registry over a year ago. My husband and I did not have room for all of the gifts in our old home so we put the boxes, unopened, into storage until we moved into our larger home this August.
