DO NOT ORDER FROM CRATE & BARREL I wish I had checked on here and read all of the reviews before placing my order for 7 custom bar stools back in November. I was told it would be 15 weeks to receive them. I checked every month on the status and was told they were backordered and to expect delivery end of March. I was told they were non-refundable. Terrible customer service. I placed an order on 2/12/2021 for a parachute quilt with the Oak brook store, they placed the order billed my credit card and said 3 to 5 days for delivery. On 2/25/2021 checked my order and it said CANCELLED, no email from C&B. But I received numerous emails from them about all new products available.I had to call the store and ask for a Manager before my account was credited. Like most have stated... C&D does LIE abut their shipping and inventory. Purchased a $150 item from them at the store. The sales associate said it'd be delivered between 3 to 5 business days which has now turn into 40 days! The final time I called for a shipment status update... they told it was unavailable and they would refund my credit card accordingly. WTH?! Now... if you multiple my situation by several thousands of other customers experiencing the same issue... C&B would be holding at least $500,000 of customer money a... read more

Crate & Barrel continues to lie about their shipping and inventory. I ordered several products because I was told it was in stock and ready to ship. 1.5 months later one item is still in the process of shipping to me (apparently in stock means it sits there in their warehouse for several months before they ship it) and the other item is conviently on back order after they took my money. The second item continues to get delayed and every time a promised date hits they move it out. This company has no idea how to manage invent... read more

I purchased 4 Leather Dining Room chairs. The leather peeled after normal use. I wish I could post a picture here. I put a review up on their website with a picture of the chairs after normal use. They were all peeling to point that anytime someone sat in one of the chairs their bottom had parts of the leather that peeled off stuck to their pants. I wish I could leave no stars. I purchased a lamp before quarantines started in 03/2020. I picked it up at the store on the last day they were open. The lamp was defective - the shade is wobbly and tilt backwards/sideways, there are scratches in the base, and the second (or dimmer) setting flickers non-stop so it's unusable. I contacted C&B, and the rep was really nice - she offered an exchange either at the store or by mail. I purchased 6+ furniture items from Crate & Barrel in November of last year. I was soon informed about several of the items being back-ordered, which was a non-issue until I received notifications every month pushing my expected delivery of some the items over 6+ months past the date. And that wasn't even a solid confirmed date. Communication was somewhat clear and I recognize those issues can be out of the control of the business (but they could set better expectations on-site). I recently purchased a coffee bean grinder. Upon receiving it I found the CA prop 65 warning on the box. I never purchase anything when I know it has a prop 65 warning. I went back to the website, thinking I missed the info when ordering it, but there was no information on the website stating it had the warning label. Purchased a sofa from crate and Barrel and they have a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. The Sofa quickly fell apart and a cushion cover broke. Tried working with them for 4 months and never saw any movement so I asked to return the item as it is clearly defective. After months of trying to deal with their terrible customer service they finally agreed to do a refund but not in the full. Not only is their product carful but so is their ethics.
