We needed major work done on our home in central Austin. All our pipes needed to be replaced as well as a new hot water heater, HVAC and ductwork. I got a number of quotes from reputable companies around town. Strand Brothers had a competitive quote. Curtis (for plumbing) and Adam (for HVAC) were both personable and patient when going over the quote and the job details. When it came to each job Curtis, Adam and Nick were all amazing. I am so disappointed with Roy Inch & Sons. I had been dealing with the company since 1977 when I bought my first air conditioner from the company. Over the years I had purchased a new furnace and a/c for my home in Hazelden North in London and over the years have had Service Experts come out every year to maintain my HVAC systems. I have an 81 year old mother in law who had a service contract with Service Experts. She lives on the thrid floor in a condominium Service Experts came out to service the unit in her condominium and the associated unit in the basement. They found a problem with the downstairs unit and stated it would be a $3,000.00 repair. The unit is only 7 years old. They also offered her a lease option for a new unit plus maintenance @ $200.00/per month for 10 years. They put 1 lb of freeone in the downstairs unit and stated it need 3 lbs... read more

About a year ago we signed up for Service Experts' maintenance visits 2 times per year. A couple of weeks ago the tech came and told us our heating system was at the end of its life expectancy. We were given the choice of repairing our system or purchasing a new one. This tech graciously offered to change our overhead vent filter. He did that--which I appreciated. We opted to buy a new system. The installers came on time and it only took them about 5-1/2 hours to remove the old unit and install a new one. So far it is workin... read more

When I placed the call on 2/6/22 because my boiler stop working, the technician said I would have to pay $60 for the service call, which I didn't understand because I have the maintenance plan. I signed up for the maintenance plan on 10/26/21 for $158.00 annual. It covers Heating & Cooling for 1 year. I was told the service plan would cover the maintenance, and I would only have to pay for parts + 15% discount. Sunbeam check the boiler and I was told I needed a thermocouple & they replaced it. This company takes advantage of senior citizens by lying to them telling them they're buying a piece of equipment, when they're really leasing it for double, even triple the going rate. Once you sign a contract, there is NO WAY to get out of it without buying it at full price, EVEN if the equipment is more than 10 years old.

Just had them out, very easy to make appointment on my schedule, They remind us about service 2 times a year, we're bad and forget. Tech was very professional and polite, he even ordered a filter to fit our furnace, came the next day, I personally recommend there service didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need,
