Nov. 2021 HVAC blower motor quit. Called Midway as I have in the past, but this started an 8 month nightmare that I hope is finally over. Tech arrived with salesperson. Said it wasn't economical to replace blower on 15 yr old unit. We were verbally offered what sounded like a new system with a 10 yr service contract, during which time we pay monthly & all maintenance covered. This company is now under Enercare. We signed up for a maintenance plan. They missed an appointment for a furnace tuneup. When I asked for a refund of what we'd paid because we didn't get the service they said we're paying for an insurance plan, not a service. It was very complicated to get off the plan and we lost $130. In addition they lost all our records during the transition. Advantage Program is a scam. You will never be done owing them money. The salesman will present it as if it is a service contract. It is not. It is a lease (rent) program. I need a lawyer. They want to charge me 15k and take back their equipment. They have performed no maintenance other than a filter change in the last three years. They've stood me up twice for scheduled maintenance. Stark Air caught my house on FIRE!!!!!! I used there service and there tech crossed the poles on my unit causing a fire in my living room . They hired there own electrician to follow up and he determined my electrical system was in perfect working order and that they were to blame. They have offer me a bill for over 16,000.00 to replace the unit and are blaming me citing this was my fault due to my units age. This company has offered no good faith towards making this right. AC stopped working 5pm July 5 2022 , triple digit heat . Calverley service experts did come out that night , charged me $422 for a capacitor . At the time did'nt have much choice . The next day did some researching on actual brand and part number , I could have gotten the exact capacitor easily at multiple HVAC part dealers for under $160 .
