I just received an invoice by email for a $7800 air conditioning unit that was installed today, but gee it still doesn't work. The installer said he only installs and can't get it running. Couldn't they call someone before 4:30 for assistance. I have been without air conditioning since Wednesday and Casteel has been out here every day since then and still no air conditioning, but I have the invoice. I called Casteel with a broken A/C (not blowing) - the customer service representivie was very helpfull and got someone out right away. When Larry arrived, I told him I was suspicious that it was the blower motor (My dad did HVAC, so I am aware of the parts) - after 5 minutes, he told me no that was not what it was, they could not repair anything and in fact, I needed an entire new system in my house. I set up service today and was advised they would call ahead of time. They had me turn my AC off at 12 p.m. to defrost before service. Service was scheduled at 5 p.m. My 3rd floor condo is 95 degrees and I was called at 4 p.m. and advised that they would not be showing up to perform the work as scheduled or at all with no further explanation provided and no return call from a manager.

These guys were fantastic from start to finish; the price was among the best I'd had been quoted; they arrived exactly when they said they would arrive; they were professional, clean, & friendly. We had a problem with the thermostat connecting at first and they were pretty responsive to get it right.
