Don't expect the car you ordered. After confirming with 5 people through the process that I was getting exactly what I ordered, the specs were not the same. Also, the car hadn't been washed and had touch up paint that didn't match. The customer support representative was very carefree about everything that went wrong on the day I went to pick up the car.
Paid to have a vehicle shipped to the ********** location. Vehicle was reserved for me. Made an appointment to view and test drive. Went to the appointment, found all to be satisfactory. Upon saying I would purchase the vehicle I was told that I had cancelled my interest in the vehicle via a text message. I had not. Carmax sent text to wrong phone number. Purchased a 2020 ****** Ascent on June 28, 2023. Next day low tire pressure light came on. I called the service department immediately and left a message. After leaving three more messages and a week later someone called me back (after we finally had the guy who sold us the car intervene). I was told to NOT bring it to them but to a tire shop. Tire shop checked the tire, found no punctures and put the tire back to the appropriate pressure. Tire continued to lose air, calls to CarMax service **** went unreturned so I finally ... read more
We took a 2023 Firs Bronco brand new, titled only, vehicle to the nearest location in Madison ** at their request. They refused to offer because its bot plated they mean registered. The State Of ******** told ** we did not have to register vehicle we dont drive and are selling as new. They think they know better than the State. Well the reason they didnt want it as titled only is they had to pay more if it was registered its not new its used. They are scammers.
DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE> EXTENDED WARRANTY HORRIBLE I purchased 2 vehicles there and it was wonderful until...Fast forward - 6 weeks left on my extended warranty and the transmission went on the ****** They were great diagnosed it at the store, got me all the warranty information and yes, covered. It went over to the ***** Dealership. ***** recommended to CNA for a full replacement of my transmission. CNA wanted to replace only the component. Bought a used 2013 ***** here back in April and twice since I have had my oil pressure pull over light come on to find I have no oil in my car. What??? I have seen no leak and when took for oil change they thought maybe prior owner used regular oil instead of synthetic but clearly not the case since I put European fully synthetic oil in and a month later gone. Negative 10 stars!!! I'm not happy at all with CarMax and I will never purchase another vehicle from them. My first purchase was a brand new truck with only ****** miles on it and within the first week my air conditioner went out and it took me calling three different CarMax places to actually get someone to help me find a solution and in ****** they did help me get a rental car and they did fix the air conditioner but they damaged my truck in the process. So, this literally was going to start off as a amazing review, BUT! That has changed! I was referred by a few friends to deal with Carmax, they have great warranty's, the prices are great, ya ya ya. I was in the market to purchase my 2nd Range Rover. I currently had/have a sport, and wanted to try out the Velar. Better on gas, smaller, cute, you know! I wish I could give them zero stars. We bought a used 2019 ***** Odyssey. We found out later it had 9 recalls. Two days after we purchased the van it died. So we replaced the battery and it would not turn off. Then it had to spend a week and half in the shop. When we purchased the car we noticed the cigarette smoke smell. We were told if we had it detailed it would come out. We had the car detailed twice and it would not come out. The sales manager called me and promised "he would take care of us."
