"Somehow" the paperwork was bungled when I CarMax my vehicle, ultimately resulting in a Tollway company from ***** ******** harassing me over a piddly $** fine. I've wasted an hour trying to figure out how to prevent a company from ** from trashing my credit report over an $** fine, an incident that only occurred because somebody fumbled the ball. If I could give no stars I absolutely would. In August 2019 I bought an ******** *** from Carmax. Within a few weeks I was having issues with the air conditioning and took it back to Carmax service department to have some work. They stated I didn't not have the controls set properly. Called back the next day said I had the same issue and they told me to take it to ******** right down the road and stated the vehicle was still under warranty. I had a truck shipped from Carmax Ga. to Tn. The dealership was closed due to the Nashville store was closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Carmax is now telling me that no one can transfer the car to another open store in Nashville. I simply can not understand why another Carmax employee can not go and get the truck. I have e-mailed the customer service dept with no response.
Do not buy or sell a vehicle from this company. I had a vehicle shipped from New York to Illinois. Shipping took 2 weeks, upon arrival and my inspection the vehicle was not in any way acceptable. Next I tried to sell a car to CarMax. They offered half of rough trade in amount according to black book numbers. The vehicle is not in rough trade in condition. Complete waste of time. Hopefully somebody will read and believe these comments............
Buying used Car from Carmax. Gross Financial Negligence. 1. My wife and I was forced to do complete financial application a screen with ver personal information that was viewable by the entire store. These computers are set on 6 foot tables in the middle of the sales floor. No blinders or other effort to hide our information. Horrible customer service after the sale, vehicle sold with a defective key fob,two days after a ****** purchase they won't replace a key fob?
I purchased a **** ****** *****from Carmax on 05/09/19 and the check engine light came on not even 2 weeks later. I called to the service department and had my car looked at on 5/22/19 they replaced the mass air flow sensor. Not even a week later the engine light was back on and this time they replaced the fuel filler nozzle. The following month on 6/18/19 the car was back in the shop due to the engine light back on. My experience was less than thrilling. And that’s fine but the sale woman Jessica P****** was not excited for a sale. I felt like she didn’t want to sell me a car. The car came with an accessory that had to be mailed. They waited for the 7 day no - hassle warranty to expire before they would agree to send me the SD card for the navigation. When I received it I found that there is no navigation in the car. The sales woman told me it was. in fact she used it as a selling point.
