I have requested assistance starting at week 2 of my $****** purchase. I have not gotten any help from leaving reviews on the site nor have my emails been returned. I purchased a car and paid cash. Under the 90 day warranty I had to have some work done. On day 8 of my ownership it went to the shop, it has now been a month PAST that and I haven't gotten my car back. I have called repeatedly and told "next week, this week, in a couple days" . Still nothing and now that I've had it and I'm angry everyone wants to pretend like they have no idea why I would be so mad!!! I bought a car here in 2018. They "transferred" the tags from my old car in the sense that they physically moved the tags onto the new car and gave me a registration which listed the VIN with those tags. Fast forward to 2019 and my tags are expiring. I go to the *** and they say there are no tags on the car. I show them a picture of the car with tags on the front and back. Worst service ever. Sales person became hostile when questioned about usage of car.They kept contradicting usage of car and millage. I will spent my $****** with some other company that can be trusted.
Bought a vehicle in 2016, it's dead in 2019. The CarMax where I bought it, (Newark, DE) acted like they were going to help ..... never heard from anyone again. Is this what your company is about?????
Carmax sold me a car that had open issues, said to repair at a local mechanic, then the manager changed their mind and said they no longer will take care of the bill and dropped me just like that. Absolute worst.
If you finance with carmax, they will NOT accept principle payments! All payments go to the loan unless you call their central office and REQUEST the payment be applied to the principle. However, you have to make the payment FIRST and when it clears their bank, then they will answer the request. So if you have a 4 year loan, you will have to call for each payment above the monthly loan amount, for the next 4YEARS! Of course none of this is made clear at the time of purchase and is buried in the pile of paperwork.
