Lets start. If you hate having good credit and low interest rates. Carmax is for you. I wanted to shop for a new car. Credit score was sitting nice at ***. Applied for loan with Carmax. I found nice car $ ***-month interest rate of *%. for 60 months. Awesome deal. But after applying I was declined. Puzzled! Then I realized they ran my credit 15 different times. I filled out a form on ******* for an appraisal for $**** which is what I expected to receive at CarMax. Upon reviewing the **** ******** ***, I pointed out new tires, brakes and battery. Also, the vehicle never even had a scratch (no body work ever) It was noted that the dashboard had 2 cracks, which I was aware of. The appraiser agreed it was due to sun exposure. Buying the vehicle went smooth, The extended warranty they sell. What a joke. DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY THROUGH THEM. Buy one from a better rated location. Absolutely miserable experience so far. All the stuff needing to be repaired is covered. But they are dragging their feet. Seriously considering getting a lawyer and looking into filing a lawsuit at this point.

bought a car there recently was infested with bugs they take no responsibility, so upsetting... They don't want to help at all... I then took it back and asked why did this happen he said a lot of the cars that come back with bugs are treated there. I laughed and said so " many cars have bugs" this is disgusting looking into breaking my contract them!

I purchased 2 vehicles from Carmax located in Newark, DE. Luckily I did not have service issues with the 1st vehicle. My 2nd car was purchase in January of this year and within a few months the sunroof stopped working and rotors needed to replaced, we took it in and they did an inhouse repair which they had my vehicle for over 3wks. Fast forward to 2 months ago when the same problem started happening again, we took the vehicle in on 8/21 and as of today 10/6, my vehicle is still in their possession. In February 2019, I purchased a ***** *** at the Carmax in Kennesaw, Georgia. The only positive part was the customer service during the buying process. Shortly after, I drove to Savannah. My car starting making a loud shrilling noise when I turned the wheel and it also became increasingly difficult to turn the wheel too. I have bought 2 cars from Carmax. The sales part is great, but the service department has always and still is the poorest excuse for a service department I have ever seen. I grew up in dealerships, so I know how good service is supposed to be. They have had my car for over 2 weeks, and I have had to deal with 4 different staff, but can't get a manager to call me back. I called to get help with a car the lady sent me pictures of vehicles that were in my price range I liked a ****** ******so she was having it shipped from Plano Texas to Oklahoma City Oklahoma. She informed me it could be up to a 7 day wait before it would it and be Released to sell. I waited a week Because I didn’t hear anything and I called the lady told me the car was in Oklahoma City BUT there was a problem with the title. My **** ****** ******had the transmission go out 6 months after we brought the car.We didn't buy the extended warranty,but they wouldn't do anything. I called ****** and they said it was covered under their power train warranty which we did get fixed. I have since found out they charge ********* more than the car is worth.If you try to trade for a newer car you are so upside down that you can't get a newer car.If you think you might trade it in know that you will be upside down a lot.
