I had a terrible experience with them. I had gone to pick up my vehicle that was supposed to be ready for me only to be told by a manager that it had been loaned out. The person they had “loaned it to” was supposed to bring it back that morning but no one had heard anything and it was the afternoon already. I let them know I will be looking elsewhere. This is bad business and they should be investigated. They didn’t even offer to lower the price or anything. What an absolute waste of time. I will never recommend them.

Poor customer service, poor communication, obviously did not want to sell me a car. Definitely wanted my *** dollar transfer fee though. Don't bother.

They went through the process of setting up a car for us that was not the car we came in for took out down payment. When we finally got the car after purchase and told them it was the wrong car they refused to return it that day we stayed until they did the return at the end of it the down payment we gave them cash, they said the could return it that they’ll mail us a check in 30 days like it was our fault the sold us the wrong car. We purchased a vehicle for my birthday from a carmax and it needed to be shipped to us. We were told once the vehicle was inspected we would be able to pick it up. After four days we noticed there were paint spots on the back of the cab of the truck so we took it back to get corrected. The next day we did not receive a phone so we called them. We were told that the truck had been repainted and that a lot of the body of the truck was replaced with bondo. They gave us the option to return the truck and get a new one or refund ... read more

This would have been my second purchase at Carmax in Ontario, however customer service was terrible this time around. I spoke to a representative from the Carmax Customer Experience Center by the name of Daniel, whom ran my name and assured me that I was approved for a certain vehicle even with the negative equity on the current vehicle that I was driving. They do not check the vehicles like they claim to. I've had numerous issues with my car, twice in the shop for evap issues, ( not fixed correctly until I literally told the dealership what to check) for a total of over 6 weeks. I couldn't fuel the car due to a fuel filed evap canister so they changed that and the filter but neglected to replaced the ccv which caused the original problem. I was told on April 9 2021 7:45am by the Manger will at the carmax location on broad street location said to me : you do not have to get your oil change here because you purchase a vehicle. I was surprised because the sales representative didn't say to me : you don't have to purchase a vehicle here at carmax. Manager WILL wouldn't have said that to a white person but he felt comfortable saying it to a black male. Worst experience ever! Carmax Plano sold me a $***** truck and the stereo doesn’t even work. I took the truck to the service department 2 weeks after I bought the truck. After 3 hours of waiting they confirmed that the stereo doesn’t work and said they would have to call their stereo guy to look at it. After a week I called them back and then they told me they would have to have a Ford dealership diagnose the problem with the stereo and it would take at least a week for the dealership to diagnose the issue. Terrible, dishonest dealer. We purchased a car from the Carmax Southlake location for my son on March 8, 2021. About three weeks after the purchase, after we hadn't received the tag in the mail, I called the tag office and was told that paperwork for the title had never been processed by the dealer. After taking to ******* to escalate the issue, the tag issue was resolved ... so we thought. When my son went to the tag office, he was told that the car didn't pass emissions.
