In 2011 I purchased a ****** ***** ****from Carmax in Sterling VA. We set up a loan through Carmax and I paid it off 3-5 years later. Carmax never notified *** and I never received a title to to car. I did not become aware of this until sometime in 2018. I paid *** to send me a title, but never received it. I later again tried to get a title and then was informed the lien on the car was not cleared. Carmax mad my car buying experience horriable. Paid *** for a car and 4 months later it is broke down on the side of the highway.. towed back to dealer only to wait 5+ weeks for it to be fixed. Never again will I buy from them

I’ve purchased several cars from CarMax and each time I’ve taken any of the cars to the Sterling, VA location for service it has been nothing short of a hassle. The customer service is terrible to the point I’ve tried calling the CarMax headquarters in Richmond with very little success it seems like just another hoop the dealership has you jumping through to make it appear like they care but the end result is the same. CarMax is the worst car dealership I've ever dealt with they scam people sell lemon cars and false advertising have poor customer service. CarMax does not value their customers. CarMax does not go above and beyond to fix their issues that they knew about. I will never buy a CarMax again and I am full warning people do not ever buy from CarMax

Stay away from carmax, whether you are buying, selling or trading. For starters, the customer service is terrible. You can never get anyone on the phone for help, the only time someone answers is if you call the sales department....go figure. I sat on hold for almost a hour on more than one occasion. I bought a car from the Duarte California location and they basically put me in a death trap. If I could give this business negative Stars I would! It was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in buying a car! I got the carmax max warranty. I do not recommend anyone to get. I had a car issue and set up a tow for 6:30. They said it would be no issue sent me updates on how long the tow truck would get here and find out the company they set me up with was not even open yet. They then canceled my order while sending me ETA texts saying they were in the way. I had to call several times to get a tow truck where they kept moving the ETA back. (Zero stars should be an option) BUYER BEWARE!! Went in with a pre-approved letter. Christopher ran our credit and told me my finance company denied me because my co-buyer was NOT licensed. (LIE) I called my finance company I was APPROVED. Found out today its CARMAX policy that both buyer and co-buyer be licensed.(that was there story today) Christopher ran my credit knowing this. Worst customer service ever!! Sold me a car with dry rotted tires. I had to buy a tire after having the car 29 days just to be able to get around after Waiting 2 weeks for Carmax to respond they replaced all 4 tires. The windshield washer pump didn’t work and also I have no keys for the vehicle. it has now been 2 months and my issues still remain no keys, windshield washer pump ,the tire that I paid for, still no response from the store manager.
