I got scammed by CarMax San Diego. I honestly don`t understand how are they still allowed to do business. I tried to buy a car from them. The car was located in Bakersfield, CA. If I could give zero I would. Now let me start by saying that this is all about the WEST BROAD location in Richmond, VA. Buying my car from Carmax was the 10/10, as the sales associate David K** made it something I didn't have to worry about. BRIEF SUMMARY: I sold CARMAX my **** and signed the Bill of Sale to purchase a *** from CARMAX on 05/05/21. I was supposed to receive a refund for the remaining warranty on the **** (check #1). The *** had problems with cleanliness so the dealership in Lithia Springs told my wife that they would reimburse us for a full detail (check #2). I purchased a vehicle from CarMax in Henderson NV on 6/3/21. At the time of the test drive i was given the vehicle and allowed the test drive and at the time of the test drive the sales person said they do not go along on the test drives. So i got in the car with my son and did the test drive. The vehicle was very dusty and dirty on the inside. I brought my **** ********** ****** ** ***. December 2020, two week after getting I had a massive oil leak and the car was running hot. So I brought it back and they claimed it was “fixed”. Now 4 months late it cuts off randomly, shakes harshly, drink oil constantly. (Even after two oil changes!) As it is during Covid I needed my car to be delivered (home delivery.) At no point during the process was I told there would be an issue with this. Previously I had a car from this same location home delivered. This time I was buying a car for my son and needed to use a cosigner (my mother) who lives out of state. We purchased a late model used vehicle from Carmax. We also purchased an extended warranty. We had no issues for a year. Then the O2 sensor went out. We contacted the warranty company only to find out that our policy had been canceled within days of our purchase. We were informed that we had to have requested the cancellation. We did not. Carmax attempted to blame the warranty company but we discovered that they would have at least had to have known about it. All in all, we will never buy another vehicle from them. I started the online purchase process and completed CarMax's financing pre-approval on a Friday night. Received a call from a CarMax representative Saturday morning to schedule the transfer from CA to my local WA CarMax location.
