I bought a **** ******* from them. Luckily I got a warranty because at 42,000 miles it had a blown head gasket. My warranty covered my rental car for a week while it was at the shop. My car is still stuck in the shop and the warranty is no longer paying for my rental. I tried to call CarMax to resolve this or get an extension on the rental. But was taken to a full mail box and no answer of the phone.

It seems “EXCEPTIONAL” customer service is something that carmax seems to lack. The customer service is “GOOD” enough to get you to buy the car and when you call in, the team seems nice but always passes the buck. I purchased a vehicle from the TN branch to be shipped to the NC branch in Winston Salem. The vehicle arrived by Tuesday 9/22 per the tracking they send via email indicating he vehicle arrived and will undergo a quality check. My grandmother bought a car from this company. A **** ********* ***** **Premier Package. It started showing the Tire Pressure Sensor was out, in the passenger front wheel. I ended up catching COVID myself, and after starting my self-isolation, my grandmother ended up catching the virus from myself. CarMax in Loveland Colorado. These are my experiences and opinions. Your experience might be better, or it might be much worse. Made an appointment. They broke it. 45 minute drive each way, one hour waiting for them to honor their commitment by getting the car ready to test drive. 30 minutes to get an appointment made. I should have read some of these reviews before going to this specific CarMax. Had I read them, I wouldn't have been so upset and shocked and stressed out from what happened during my visit. I was highly discriminated and profiled by this store, specifically by a manager who said his name is Nathan (wouldn't give his last name). He told me I can't afford the car I was interested in. AWFUL customer service. I had the buyers order for the car they were selling me & they sold it. I called 30 minutes before I got there, the salesman that I was dealing with called me and told me the car was still there. When I got there he told me they sold it to someone else. With no apology. It was the worst experience ever. I really had high hopes for Carmax. I will never consider or recommend this busy to ANYONE.

I had an appointment to evaluate my car at 1:30 pm today (9-21-21). I called prior to coming and said I have to pickup children. The attendant (Emmanuel) said that's not a problem that's why we make appointments. I drove in at 1:30 and the man at the counter said, there are six people ahead of me and appointments are just to gather information. This is awful, I wasted one hour driving.

Absolutely horrible service went to pick up my car they ran my financials twice while I was there. Also promised me that they would deliver the car to my house. To find out they do not. Promised me they would pay me for gas and food to go pick the vehicle up did not do that either. Went to try to pay the down payment then the manager of the Cleveland store looked at my paycheck stub and ran the financial again for the second time changed everything. Wanted more money down. I purchased a car that had a issues with the door hitting the fender when it opened. I called Carmax and had it fixed upon the inspection of my car when I retrieved It I noticed further damage caused by the Tech. The way this was Handled was very unprofessional, Carmax has provided solutions that benefit their pocket book. They are willing to fix it but again at my added cost, I highly don't recommend buying a car from carmax due to un-ethical business practices.
