CarMax in Augusta, GA: If I could give 0 stars, I would. What should've been a week process of shipping the car to signing turned into an ENTIRE month! First thing, the shipping took a lot longer than they said it would. Poor customer service they do not communicate with customers ever.
They don’t care about their customers. My car broke down half way through financing and they was not able to fix it. I left the vehicle with them and now ******** *******let me know they never repoed it so now I am stuck with a ** bill for something I don’t posses. This is crazy and with all debt especially now.
I will NEVER buy a car from here again. I have now bought a 2nd car from Carmax with issues. The first car I got was a **** **** ******. I had it for a year and for the whole year, it would kind of jump with gears but it had done that since the day I got it. Never felt like the transmission was slipping or anything. CarMax in Arlington Fort Worth is terrible. The customer service is less than terrible. Our sales person was incompetent, was trying to get off the clock rather than sell the vehicle. We drove 4 hours to Arlington where we had an appointment only to stay in Arlington for 5 hours till they said the paperwork was good and that’s when i signed and we made it back home around 2 am. Dishonest practices and poor customer service. Vehicle was put on hold 10/30/2021 yet someone at the dealership was permitted to test drive and begin a purchase on 11/1/2021 when I had already initiated a transfer. Was informed issue was "resolved" only for the transfer to be canceled two hours later due to necessary repairs. Once repairs were complete on 11/2/2021 I was NOT notified and, although the vehicle still showed in my profile as On Hold for me, the vehicle was again put On Hold for another individual. I suggest you do not entrust your banking information to Carmax. I had a car loan with them until I refinanced it with a local bank. Carmax took two additional monthly payments from me. They already sent me confirmation that my loan was paid off with them, and sent me a refund check for the first incorrect debit. When I called them, the CS rep blamed me. Sold me a car at the beginning of covid knowing I couldn't get the emissions test and when I called to make the appointment with carmax it was way out past my warranty. I'm just finding out the temperature gauge has been tampered with so it doesn't read correctly and now at 11 months the car is probably blown from a clogged catalytic converter.

I actually tried to purchase a different vehicle than what I have now, but there was an issue with the way CarMax processed it and in turn, they sold the car that I did the paperwork for and spoke with multiple representatives about to someone else.
