THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! I purchased a car with faulty breaks. I called them within five days of the purchase and told them that. Set up a service appointment for NOTHING to be done and leave in the car. Drive home to squeaky breaks and they tell me it’s my responsibility to get them fixed and refused to put me a loaner. I then tell tell just return the car. I’ve been in THREE hours trying to return a car because they can’t figure out how to put my money back on my card. CarMax LAFAYETTE,LA is the worst. My daughter and son in law bought a truck from Carmax in October and with in 2 weeks had to return it because it was leaking on the roof.. my son in law called multiple times after returning the truck to get the money back. Meantime they had no car and had to rent one. This continued for 3 1/2 months!!! Hours of work and driving to meet with top manager were spent trying to get someone to help them.. Stockbridge assisted my wife and mother-in-law with all their needs but the way corporate handled this brings me here to leave a negative review. My wife purchased an **** from this location at first but my mother-in-law was not a fan of the **. Within the 7 days the vehicle was returned. It takes 7 days for funding to finalize and process. There should have not been an issue resolving what we went through. They are racist and said I didn’t work for a company that’s well known, I provided everything, paystubs and statements and still nothing, I talk to somebody in corporate they didn’t do anything. They told me they was going to investigate. The guy in the financing department at this location lied to me about his name, he told me I didn’t work for the company, he told me my information was fraudulent. We purchased a car from Carmax in San Diego, CA in March of 2021. It is almost March of 2022 and we still do not have our tags. This has been the most frustrating, horrible car buying experience we have ever had! The supervisor has been full of “I’m sorry” but month after month…nothing! I was never offered to have the car purchased back. The only compensation we were offered was 2 months reimbursement for our car payment (less than $*****)!! So I have been given the run around all morning from Carmax Doral and customer service for. Return exchange for a bad car they delivered to me. The Manager Andrew didn’t show up to work today and didn’t even relay to his fellow team members his promise to assist me 1st thing today. I am disabled and need a mobile device to move around more than a few blocks so I really rely on a car. Classic Bait & Switch!. Went to the North West Freeway Branch in Houston Texas Carmax Yesterday. Was selling my car and looking to purchase a car. My car was appraised for, by carmax, $****** on-line. Understanding that I still need a Physical appraisal from car-max, i went to the location to start shopping for a car, Rey the salesman was very nice and helpful.
